The Eternal is an Advanced Bloon card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 3.0. Each time it is popped or it hits the opponent's Hero, it creates a copy of itself in the player's hand with 70 more health. If affected by Return to Sender, the card for The Eternal reverts to its original HP. Only one The Eternal can be equipped in a deck, though this Bloon is allowed to be copied (e.g. Double Trouble, Reinflated). Multiple Eternals are allowed to return to the player's hand if The Eternal was copied.

Tips

This section was last updated for: version 3.3
  • By popping the Eternal, it gets stronger with every draw. Delaying the popping of The Eternal prevents it from scaling too quickly.
    • Damage enough that it's low enough HP to be leaked safely. Avoid random attackers like the Mortars and Arcane Mastery, which may accidentally pop it too soon. If using Adora, try to use her abilities first before her Monkeys.
      • Beware of bloon damage from the sender, such as Quincy's Arrow Shot or Overload, which may increase difficulty of simply leaking a low-HP Eternal.
    • If available, the Slowing Bloon, Glue Storm, Powerful Slowing Totem, and Red Bloon Apopalypse can slow down the opponent from sending more Eternals.
  • If the player's hand consistently has ample space, this card offers a constant source of Bloontonium.
  • The Eternal can be copied by Reinflated, The Prestige, or Double Trouble. Copying it can help reduce the effectiveness of singling out that Bloon.
    • To increase the chances of copying it with the former two, one can use Bloon Melter to pop their own The Eternal and replay its copy, repeating as needed. Have 7 or fewer cards in your hand if doing this with a 2-charge Bloon Melter, or else The Eternal will not return. Likewise for Extreme Heat combined with fire.
    • Although impractical, it's possible to get up to 11 Eternals in a perfect scenario with Reinflated, The Prestige, and Double Trouble.
  • The Eternal can be permanently removed from play by destroying it or using Return to Sender while the opponent has a full hand.
    • If removed by Return to Sender, this copy will revert to its original HP.
    • To prevent losing The Eternal, keeping a low hand is recommended.
    • Some players may use Bloon Melter to pop the Eternal and leave it in their hand, so the opponent is unable to counter it with Return to Sender, and then use two Quick Ready for a potential OTK.
  • Decks that heavily rely on The Eternal as a wincon may heavily involve Pick cards, as well as enough Gold and Monkeys to survive long enough to draw that Bloon. Some decks may have the Eternal as their only bloon card (excluding bloon-related powers such as Red Bloon Apopalypse).
  • Not all decks rely on the Eternal as the main wincon. Conventional mid-game bloon spam decks (e.g. Large Bloon spam of MOABs and BFBs) may include The Eternal purely for variety of rushes.
  • Some Eternal decks bring Overload to pop first-stage Eternals, or punish opponents for damaging Eternals down to 100 HP or less.
