Dark Path is an Advanced map in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 39.0. It is a dark and spooky rendition of Park Path.

Layout

[edit | edit source]

Dark Path is largely inspired by Park Path. The track on Park Path is largely turned into walls, the stream becomes the track, and the map is given a more wintery as opposed to autumnal scenery. The Bloons enter from the top right and exit on the bottom left. Due to the stream becoming the track, there is no water on this map. There are two caves that can be clicked to destroy parts of the wall. They each first destroy a wall adjacent to the center and closer to their side for $250, then a wall further out from the center projected by the first destroyed wall for $500, then a wall further out and also projected by the previous wall for $1,000. The final set of walls destroyed includes one near the start of Park Path's track (by the top-left cave) and one near the end of that track (by the bottom-right cave), each for $1,000.

Strategy

[edit | edit source]

Despite the abundance of walls, Dark Path is often seen as one of the easiest Advanced maps, being tied in terms of difficulty with Another Brick and Off The Coast and only harder than Cornfield. It is single lane, has decent length, and the middle section's loops allow Mortar Monkeys to excel. The high platform above the center can also be used to place down limited-range towers, both damage and support ones, in addition to global-range towers that cannot see over walls. The ability to remove the walls allow for additional strategic placements, making Dark Path support a wider variety of strategies than most other Advanced maps.

Name Portrait Reasoning
Artillery Battery, Pop and Awe The middle loops give Artillery Battery and Pop and Awe immense power on this map. Artillery Battery can sweep through the mid-game with ease, needing little help to save up to Pop and Awe. Pop and Awe deals extraordinary damage in the middle loops, cleaning up almost all rounds with ease, especially with stuns such as Relentless Glue used. Use Striker Jones for both of them, and use Spike Storm to take down the Round 100 BAD.
Ultra-Juggernaut The Juggernaut balls can bounce off the walls repeatedly and re-hit Bloons multiple times, in effect doing massive damage. The walls should not be removed and the Ultra-Juggernaut should be placed on a low ground.
Perma-Spike It guarantees victory on this map, with Ultra-Juggernaut and/or Pop and Awe cleaning up the vast majority of the RBE with ease and Perma-Spike tanking any stray Bloons that may get past.
