Mountain Terrain is a type of Terrain in Bloons Monkey City. Favoring the Ice Monkey and restricting most aerial towers, this alpine terrain type is one of the more common areas in the game.
Tracks
[edit | edit source]Hallmarks of the tracks of this terrain type include varied elevation, relatively little water, and cosmetic snow coverage on certain areas. The tracks use a grey color scheme. Variety in map layouts is almost always provided by either long curves or acute angles, with not a single right angle to be seen.

The path curves around a large open area in the center.
Strategy
[edit | edit source]Mountains Terrains are relatively easy due to being quite long and lacking multiple lanes. The cheaper Ice Monkey (especially Ice Shards) offsets most of the difficulty of losing many powerful towers such as Spectre, especially because most tracks have corners well-suited for Ice. However, most long-ranged defense is restricted, which encourages limited range towers instead. Super Monkeys are also unrestricted and Sun God/Robo Monkey can be considered more expensive alternatives to the powerful tier 4s that are restricted on this terrain.
The lack of Farm should instead be substituted by Bloon Traps and Supply Drop farming in later rounds, which is aided by the lack of multiple lanes and having better Ice spots to stall rounds.
