**The optimal way to limit its Health scaling is popping it on the second turn. Having anything that deals the final pop during the opponent's turn (e.g. Defenders, and lingering effects like On Fire and Acid Pool) can delay it further.

*Self-destruction cards can build up the Eternal's Health quicker at the will of the player, but are generally less useful due to the less health gained. The most popular self-destruction card for this purpose is Bloon Melter.
**If using any card with 2 or more charges (e.g. Bloon Melter, Bombs Away, or Extreme Heat combined with fire), have 7 or fewer cards in your hand, or else The Eternal will not return.
*The Eternal can be permanently removed from play by destroying it or using Return to Sender while the opponent has a full hand. To prevent losing The Eternal, keeping a low hand is recommended. Be wary of opponents holding multiple Return To Senders in their hand to prevent losing The Eternal, as multiple uses of it in one turn can fill up your hand quickly.
**Some players may bring Bombs Away to self-destruct The Eternal, especially if they want to hide a 500+ HP Eternal that is also affected by all 3 Bloon Melter cards.
*Certain Bloon removers are effective against The Eternal:
**Some Eternal decks bring Overload to pop first-stage Eternals, or punish opponents for damaging Eternals down to 100 HP or less.
**Return to Sender reverts a single Eternal to original health, preventing a potentially lethal amount of Health of that Eternal. It also has the benefit of being able to entirely destroy The Eternal if the player’s hand is full on use.
*The Eternal can be copied by Reinflated, The Prestige, or Double Trouble. Copying it can help reduce the effectiveness of singling out that Bloon.
**Bloon Redirect can be used in Eternal decks to prevent mirror matchups from using The Eternal, or to potentially steal from an opponent who poorly uses The Eternal. This, however, is prevented once The Eternal gets enough health.
**To increase the chances of copying it with the former two, one can use any self-destruction card (especially the cheap Bloon Melter).
**Bloon Master Alchemist can render pure Eternal decks useless if the Eternal is not duplicated.
**Although impractical, it's possible to get up to 11 self-owned<!--ie no bredirect--> Eternals in a perfect scenario with Reinflated, The Prestige, and Double Trouble.<!--1+3+4+3-->
*Since the Version 4.4 nerfs, the Eternal is no longer strong enough to carry as a deck wincon, due to the variety of hard counters and tactics to slow the Eternal's growth. Its favored synergies like duplicators (Double Trouble, Reinflated, etc.) are better used on other Bloons.
*The Eternal can be permanently removed from play by destroying it or using Return to Sender while the opponent has a full hand.
*Conventional mid-game Bloon spam decks (e.g. Large Bloon spam of MOABs and BFBs) may include The Eternal as a backup plan if the rushes fail to break through. Although this can work, cards like Lead Zeppelin or CRRROD generally perform better at giving you a second chance after a tempo push has been dealt with; the Eternal is a bad draw if it's drawn late.
**To prevent losing The Eternal, keeping a low hand is recommended.
*Return to Sender reverts a single Eternal to original health, preventing a potentially lethal amount of HP of that Eternal.
**Some players may use Bloon Melter to pop the Eternal and leave it in their hand, so the opponent is unable to counter it with Return to Sender, and then use two Quick Ready for a potential OTK.
*Decks that heavily rely on The Eternal as a wincon may heavily involve Pick cards, as well as enough Gold and Monkeys to survive long enough to draw that Bloon. Some decks may have the Eternal as their only bloon card (excluding bloon-related powers such as Red Bloon Apopalypse).
**Certain heroes facilitate a purely Eternal-focused loadout:
***Amelia has plenty Pick cards alongside utility with her Act of Power and Grand Disappearance.
***Quincy has the most possible Pick cards via Archer's Instinct. Also, his Arrow Shot can be used to pop his own Eternals if the opponent tries to leak an Eternal with low HP.
**Having at least one Monkey Investigator will allow the Eternal to be the guaranteed bloon draw, if no other bloons are in the deck.
**For heroes that heavily rely on Bloontonium, especially Adora, Bloontonium-gaining Monkeys such as Leeching Shot Sniper, Bloontonium Miner, and Mine Supervisor are recommended.
*Not all decks rely on the Eternal as the main wincon. Conventional mid-game bloon spam decks (e.g. Large Bloon spam of MOABs and BFBs) may include The Eternal purely for variety of rushes.
*Bloon Redirect is often used in Eternal decks to prevent mirror matchups from utilizing The Eternal, or to potentially steal from an opponent who poorly uses The Eternal.
**This however is prevented once The Eternal gets enough health.
*Certain Bloon removals such as Bloon Master Alchemist can render pure Eternal decks useless if the Eternal is not duplicated.
**If running both BMA and Return to Sender, it is recommended to use the latter on the former, not on the Eternal; this ensures that multiple Eternal copies from only one source (usually Double Trouble) become fully neutralized.

The Eternal is an Advanced Bloon card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 3.0. Each time it is destroyed or it hits the opponent's Hero, it creates a copy of itself in the player's hand with more Health than before. If it hits the opponent's Hero, the copy gains 60 Health, but if it was popped, it gains 30 Health. If Return to Sender is used on a copy, it reverts to its original health. This Bloon can be copied by effects (e.g. Double Trouble or Reinflated). Multiple Eternals are allowed to return to the player's hand if The Eternal was copied. Only one The Eternal can be in the Collection.

The card artwork depicts The Eternal near a graveyard full of the ghosts of other Eternals, set at night time with an eerie light-blue mist.
