Bloons Trigonometry Defense (also called Bloons Trigonometry Defense: Aiming with Angles) is an officially licensed Gamefroot tutorial that teaches programming rotation and angle-finding on a 2D plane using trigonometry. The course uses a block-based scripting language similar to Scratch. It features graphics of a Dart Monkey, Red Bloons, and Monkey Lane from the mobile version of Bloons TD 5. A sergeant monkey from mobile version of Bloons Monkey City is the text-based narrator.

In this tutorial you'll use the Gamefroot platform to code a rotating monkey tower using the same trigonometry used to make the defence towers in Bloons TD!

Learning Goals
  • Basic familiarity with coordinates in a game
  • Applying trigonometry in a game
  • Coding algorithms
  • Coding selection (if statements)
  • Coding comparative operators

Are you ready?
