Projectile lifespan is the amount of time a projectile can exist before disappearing. For moving projectiles, the lifespan is one of two properties that determines how far they can travel before expiring, the other being projectile speed. Area attacks such as explosions also have a projectile lifespan, usually extremely brief compared to moving projectiles.
