- Its main use case is handling blue MOABs in rounds before round 60, stopping most Fortified MOABs in rounds 62 and 64 (but one still must be popped normally if carrying over past round 62), or more single-target damage on a specific round only. It's not very good for BFBs outside the round 60 BFB; each BFB will consume most of its pierce.
- In some cases, a MOAB Mine needs to be timed on top of a blimp at a specific round, to ensure it's still intact on harder blimp rounds.
- It has some niche on Lych Boss tiles to eliminate resurrected blimps at T1.
