Protect The Yacht[fn 1] is an Intermediate[fn 2] map in Bloons TD 6. It takes place on a beach with a yacht surrounded by shipping containers and dump trucks. It was created as part of a cross-promotion with Mr. Beast and is based on the video "Protect the Yacht, Keep It!".

This map does not appear in the normal map list, but it can be played in the Protect the Yacht Quest. Completing the Quest unlocks this map in the Challenge Editor, the Odyssey Editor, and Boss Challenge. It cannot be played in Co-op outside of events, it does not have any unlockable medals, and it has no rewards for completing it.

Layout

Protect The Yacht is a two-lane map. The paths start near each other at the bottom-center and travel along the sides of the play area on the shipping containers, then turn to the center of the map just above the yacht. The paths meet near the middle above the yacht, then turn down towards the yacht. Bloons exit when they board the yacht. The upper half of the map is entirely land, save for the dump trucks that cannot be placed on. The lower half is entirely water, except for the yacht, which towers can be placed on, and the wall of shipping containers, which towers cannot be placed on. Towers placed on the yacht are not granted additional height.

Bloons on the shipping containers near the bottom of the screen are completely invincible, even to screen-clearing attacks such as Ground Zero. On the containers by the left and right sides of the screen, Bloons are not invincible but are blocked by line of sight. Bloons on the beach are visible to all towers.

Strategy

If compared to the other Intermediate maps, Protect the Yacht is easily the hardest among them. The already short dual lanes are cut even shorter by the fact that the Bloons are immune to all damage for more than half of their time on the track. It’s easily harder than not only all Intermediate maps, but harder than most Advanced maps, and debatably harder than the easiest Expert maps, like Infernal. Most strategies get overwhelmed effortlessly simply due to the extremely short track length, and only two turns extremely close to the exits make strategies like Tack Shooters and Pat Fusty/Sauda incredibly risky and unreliable. Very few strategies work well here, and the ones that do need to be used near perfectly for any hope of beating this map.
