Soulstealer Bloon is a Large Bloon card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 6.0. It is an undead Bloon that does 30 damage to all other Bloons on both sides when played, gaining Health equal to the damage it dealt to them.

The card artwork portrays a Soulstealer Bloon absorbing energy from other Bloons. A pink aura is emitted from this Bloon in this artwork but not in-game.

Tips

This section was last updated for: version 6.2
  • Soulstealer Bloon can convert health from Friendly or Enemy Bloons into its own health. Use it when there are large amounts of Bloons on one or both player's tracks to scale Soulstealer.
    • In the best case scenario, Soulstealer gains +450 Health, totalling 1050 Health.
  • In a pinch, the 30 damage from Soulstealer can be used as a defensive option.
  • Any healing works well with Soulstealer to negate or reduce the damage dealt with its ability. Camo Regrow Ceramic, Camo Regrow Rainbow, Healing Bloon, and Prince of Darkness are all solid synergizers with it because of this.

Update history

  • Nerf Double Trouble no longer causes Soulstealer Bloon to regain its original health buff (bug fix)
“
This effectively means that, in total, it gets [...] one less soul stealing, I guess. This Bloon was incredibly powerful with a type of deck called 'high roller' where you would try and get stuff like Economy Drains to get your opponent to have basically no money, steal their Bloons with a Soulstealer Bloon or steal your own Soulstealer Bloon, and then use this huge Bloon to convert and then kill them off of it. Because it was really strong at that and was probably overall the best blimp in the game, Soulstealer Bloon has had its health slightly decreased to make it a little bit harder to get to as insane of values as it had.

  • Nerf Health decreased ― 600 → 570

Development

This card originally dealt 20 damage on play, but it was increased to 30 damage before the update released due to feedback from community playtesters.[1] The original damage amount was displayed in the update video.[2]

Soulstealer was popular in Tempo decks, in particular "high roll" decks in combination with the pre-nerfed Economy Drain to stop the opponent from defending efficiently due to running out of Gold and still having Bloons on screen that Soulstealer would take advantage of.[3] Reducing 30 Health won't fundamentally change the card but makes it rely more on the card benefit to become powerful, and more on level with similar cards such as the then-buffed ZOMG.[3]
