Ascent is an Advanced map in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 56.0. This map takes place in a mountaintop, where the Bloons float around the sanctuary located at the peak of the mountain. This map was created to promote the Skywarden which released in the same update; this map also appears as the background for the tower's unlock screen.

Layout

Ascent has two paths that the Bloons can travel. Both paths can be used on the same round by the Bloons, and the right path is longer. The track on the left goes past the second rock and almost immediately enters the second half of the track, where it only detours to make a single loop on the small grassy rock to the right of the largest island, before going down and exiting the track. The right track is significantly longer, with it taking a loop in the top left corner of the track, another loop around the gray rock just to the right of the largest island, before going straight and taking the rightmost path around the second biggest island before exiting the track. The pointed gray rocks and elevated rock pool on the second biggest island serve as line of sight blockers.

The long length of the paths along with the lack of significant line-of-sight blockers makes Ascent one of the easiest Advanced maps. Most Military monkeys can be used to great effect on this map, although Heli Pilots in Pursuit may sometimes get confused due to the multiple paths.

Name Icon Reasoning
Perma-Spike Perma-Spike can be placed on the middle platform at the bottom right to hit both paths near the end, making good use of their long lengths.

Placing it on the middle platform instead of the small isolated island further to the right allows it to be buffed with Jungle Drums along with any other towers nearby.

Submerge and Support A submerged Monkey Sub can be placed at the start of the map to decamo all bloons. Use 3-0-1 to make the decamo consistent.

It can also optionally be upgraded to a Bloontonium Reactor for extra damage.
