Blons is a hidden Expert map in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 24.0. It is set in a grassy field similar to Monkey Meadow, but is devoid of trees.

This map is hidden from the player by default and must be unlocked by completing any challenge involving this map (i.e. from the Content Browser). It can only be played in the Challenge Editor, the Odyssey Editor, Boss Challenge, and the Content Browser, and not in standard solo or Co-op play. Because of this, it does not have any unlockable medals and can never give any rewards.

Blons is based on a joke submission for a map designing competition on the official subreddit.

Layout

Blons is the shortest map in BTD6, with Red Bloons taking only 3.5 seconds to exit on Hard mode. This map has its entire track located at the top-left, with a bend halfway through the track. There is an extremely vast expanse of open space, with more room to fit towers than any other map. There is a pond at the bottom right, being located far enough away from the track to render most towers placed there useless.

Strategy

The extremely short length of Blons makes it extremely intimidating to many players, but it is easily beaten in difficulty by the True Expert maps, such as Bloody Puddles and Ravine. Even some Advanced maps, such as X Factor, are usually seen as harder than Blons. This is due to the single-lane path of this track, the vast amount of open space, the bend that allows Sauda, Tack Shooters, and Ice Monkeys to excel, and certain towers that benefit from the short length of the track.

Name Portrait Reasoning
Sauda, Pat Fusty, Tack Shooter, Ice Monkey Their short range is much less of a hindrance when the whole track is barely any bigger. In particular, Arctic Wind can effectively create a global 40% slowdown on ceramics, making it particularly powerful.
Spike Storm / Carpet of Spikes Due to the short length of this map, the spikes from their abilities all land inside a very small area, making them much more efficient.
Comanche Defense The short length means the mini-Comanches are more active more often.
