The Dark Temple Idol is a Special Item in Bloons Monkey City. It unlocks the Temple of the Vengeful Monkey for the Temple Of The Monkey God upgrade. Its mechanics differ depending on the version.
In the mobile version, the Temple of the Vengeful Monkey is an Activated Ability granted to all Temples. When activated, it transforms the Temple into the Temple of the Vengeful Monkey, temporarily doubling its attack speed and pierce, increasing its range by 50%, and causing it to shoot two beams at a time instead of one. It has a 60-second cooldown.
In the Flash version, the Temple of the Vengeful Monkey permanently replaces the Temple of the Monkey God, changing its appearance, name, upgrade icon, and portrait. Its differences are purely cosmetic.
