Bee Bloons are Bloons that appear in Bloons 2. When popped, they spawn five bees that slowly follow the player's mouse or touch position. They pop Bloons on contact, but are destroyed by frozen Bloons and Bomb Bloon explosions. They can destroy Breakable Blocks and Breakable Rubber Blocks, and can deal one hit to Strong Breakable Blocks, but are destroyed after doing so, and they cannot destroy Solid Blocks or Rubber Blocks. Each bee lasts for 5–6 seconds before disappearing. There can be up to 20 bees on-screen at a time, but if popping a Bee Bloon would exceed the limit, the excess bees instead refresh the lifespans of existing bees (for example, if there are 17 bees currently on-screen, popping a Bee Bloon spawns three bees and refreshes the lifespans of two existing bees).

Development
Bee Bloons were created to replace Chomper Bloons from Bloons due to the chomper's unintuitive control scheme.[1] In the Flash version, the internal name of this Bloon is BirdBloon, the internal name of the bee object is Bird, and the internal name of the particles that spawn when a bee is destroyed is Feathers, implying that the Bee Bloon originally spawned a flock of birds instead of a swarm of bees during development.
