Low Stamina is represented by half-eaten Banana Cookies.

Stamina is a game mechanic in the Frontier Legends DLC on Bloons TD 6. It represents the energy that the towers in the Sheriff's Posse have to combat Bloons in the Frontier, it is consumed when the Monkeys are placed in the map and after each round that passes and can be recovered by resting at a Campfire or in Sheriff's Homestead. Towers with low stamina will have their range and attack speed reduced and the player will no longer be able to place them again if it reaches zero.

Mechanics

Stamina is represented as an energy bar with values between 0% and 100%[fn 1]. It is displayer over the Tower's portrait while viewing the Posse and Ranch Hands menu and while in-game, it is also visible in both the Placement and the Tower menu and its value persists across the entire campaign. All Monkeys in Frontier Legends use the Stamina system and except Sheriff, which uses the Morale mechanic instead. All newly recruited Monkeys at the Saloon start with a full Stamina bar.

Stamina draining

The editor who added this notice elaborates: Confirm Sheriff equipment and Giddy Up interactions
Determine how stamina cost modifiers interact with each other

Active members in the Posse consume 4% of Stamina when placed during a Bloon Encounter, but this value can be modified by Traits and Sheriff's equipment. If the Tower has more than 0% but less than 4% Stamina, they can still be deployed but it will immediately dropped to 0% and towers that are already in 0% cannot be placed again in a new game or after being retreated until its Stamina is restored.

The following Traits modify the amount of stamina that a tower consumes when placed:

Trait Placement Stamina cost
Boot-draggin' 6%
Slow-ridin' 5.2%
Itchin’ 2.8%
Rarin’ 2%
Red-eyed 12%
Hell-bent 8%
Phantom 5%
Survivor 4.4%
Ambusher 3.6%
Escapist 3%

Deployed towers also consume a certain amount Stamina at the end of each round they stay on the map, and it depends on their upgrade level:

  • Regular Towers: Depends on the upgrade tier (crosspathing does not affect this):
    • Base and Tier 1: 0.5% per round.
    • Tier 2: 1% per round.
    • Tier 3: 1.5% per round.
    • Tier 4: 2% per round.
    • Tier 5: 2.5% per round.
  • Heroes: Depends on level:
    • Level 1−6: 0.5% per round.
    • Level 7−9: 1% per round.
    • Level 10+: 1.5% per round.

When Sheriff equips certain items it reduces both the placement and round Stamina drain by certain amounts:

Equipment Stamina drain reduction
  Black Tinfoil Hat -5%
  Tinfoil Hat -10%
  White Poncho -25%

Also, if Sheriff uses his Giddy Up ability, towers will consume 1% more Stamina per round. It is currently unknown if the ability needs to be active at the end of the round to trigger the increased cost or it is applied if it was used at any point.

In the overworld, the Posse's Stamina can also be reduced by Roaming Bloons either by selecting the Run! option or by losing the Quick Draw mini-game, the amount depends on the strength of the Bloon. Using the Run! option halves the penalty compared to losing the mini-game.

Bloon Quick Draw loss penalty Run penalty
  Red Bloon 5% 2.5%
  Blue Bloon 5% 2.5%
  Green Bloon 10% 5%
  Pink Bloon 15% 7.5%
  Fortified Red Bloon 10% 5%
  Zombie Bloon 10% 5%
  Glass Bloon 15% 7.5%
  MOAB 20% 10%
  BFB 40% 20%
  ZOMG 60% 30%
  BAD 95% 47.5%

Stamina recovery

Lost Stamina can be recovered by performing certain actions, but they may not be able to fully restore it:

Action Stamina recovered Recovery limit
Winning a Bloon Encounter 2.5% 100%
Losing a Bloon Encounter 100% 100%
Resting at a Campfire 30% per minute 100%
Resting at Sheriff's Homestead 90% per minute 100%
Passive recovery while the game is closed 0.5% per minute 80%
Eating a Banana Cookie 25% 80%
Fishing junk 1% 100%
Fishing a common fish 3% 100%
Fishing a rare fish 5% 100%
Fishing a legendary fish 10% 100%

Low Stamina effects

Towers have a visual indicator at the left of their Stamina bar which indicates its current overall level, high Stamina between 100% and 51%, medium Stamina between 26% and 50% and low Stamina when it is 25% or lower. When the Monkey reaches 12.5% or less it will receive a penalty that reduces its attack speed and range, which is further increased when it is completely drained. The low Stamina icon will also appear over the tower while it is selected alongside the other buff icons.

Stamina level Range penalty Attack cooldown multiplier Attack speed penalty
>0% to 12.5% -20% 1.1× -9%
0% -30% 1.5× -33%
