Dreadrock Bloons, also called Rock Bloons, are Bloons in Bloons TD 6 that are continuously summoned by Dreadbloon while its Ceramic Armor Shell is active, after reaching a skull. Dreadrock Bloons are much faster than Dreadbloon and are prioritized by attacks set to Strong targeting over any other Bloon type, including Dreadbloon itself. Dreadrock Bloons are immune to the same tower category as Dreadbloon was at the time they spawn. Leaking them loses lives depending on Dreadbloon's current tier.
Dreadbloon starts summoning Dreadrock Bloons from the entrance when a skull is reached, and stops summoning them the next time its Shell is destroyed. Therefore in Boss Bloon Events and Boss Challenges, Dreadbloon never summons any Dreadrock Bloons during its Primary immunity phase, since no skull was reached when it is in that phase. Primary-immune Dreadrock Bloons only occur during Boss Rush.
Dreadbloon summons a specific number of Dreadrock Bloons in the first 5 seconds after regrowing its Shell, and additionally summons Dreadrock Bloons in certain intervals the whole time the Shell is active.
Properties
The health of Dreadrocks and the number of lives lost upon leaking them increase at higher tiers of Dreadbloon, and are higher during the Elite version than the Normal version. Their health and speed are also affected by the Boss challenge rules.
Dreadrock Bloons inherit the category immunity of Dreadbloon when it was spawned, and do not change their immunity even if Dreadbloon does. Like Dreadbloon, if a Dreadrock Bloon is hit by a projectile of the category it is immune to, the projectile is destroyed.
Dreadrock Bloons are prioritized by attacks with the Strong targeting over any other Bloon type. This includes attacks that always target Strong regardless of the tower's current targeting option, such as First Strike Capability's ability.
Uniquely, Dreadrock Bloons have some properties of Boss and MOAB-Class Bloons, but lack others. Dreadrock Bloons are vulnerable to the extra damage from attacks that deal bonus Boss damage or MOAB-Class damage. Attacks that can only target MOAB-Class Bloons, such as Sticky Bomb or MOAB Eliminator cannot target them, nor can attacks that only target non-MOAB-Class Bloons, such as Glue Gunner with no upgrades. They are subject to any modifiers affecting Boss Health and Boss Speed.
Dreadrock Bloons are immune to insta-kill methods such as Pirate Lord's hooks and Legend of the Night's passive black hole ability (which triggers when Dreadrock Bloons reach the exit, but does not prevent lives from being lost by them).

Previously we scaled Rock Bloon HP in Boss Rush faster than Dreadbloon in order to keep them relevant from start to finish within a rough 100 tier expectation. Players pushing beyond this expected range were finding obvious annoyance with this as the Rock Bloons would eventually outscale the Boss, so we’re reducing their scale to match in line with Dreadbloon but increasing the number of Rock Bloons that spawn. — Update notes
Dreadbloon’s difficulty has been due too much to the Rock Bloons, so their strength is being reduced in favour of a more linear speed increase on the boss itself. Also Tier 1 Normal Dreadbloon’s damage reduction is being removed as we felt this hitting immediately was far too limiting to starting strategies, particularly in Rush game modes — Update notes
