Setup Bloon is a Basic Bloon card in Bloons Card Storm. If it hits the opponent's Hero, it reduces the Gold cost of a random Bloon in the player's hand by 1. It has a Delay of 0, so it will attack the opponent at the end of the same turn it's played on under normal circumstances.
The card artwork depicts a Setup Bloon holding a lasso, with a MOAB and a crowd of Bloons following behind. They're all at an arid grassland. The Wikipedia:Dutch angle shot is tilted to the right.
Tips

- As the name implies, the Setup Bloon's primary purpose is to set up a Bloon push on a later turn by reducing their cost.
- Since it reduces the cost of all charges, it is efficient at discounting Swarm Bloons and Discount Bloons.
- It can reduce the cost of expensive Bloons to allow the player to play more Bloons in a single turn. This can enable extremely aggressive plays when many Bloons are played at once when normally they could not be.
- Discount Bloon is efficient when discounting Bloons with more than one charge. Anything with two charges or above saves you more Gold than you spend on the Setup Bloon, with 2 charge Bloons giving +1 overall Gold and 3 charge Bloons giving +3 overall Gold. Cards like Swarm Yellow Bloon, Swarm Green Bloon, Yellow Bloon, Strike Bloon, or other early game aggressive Bloons are particularly powerful when discounted.
- Discounting Bloons can decrease the overall Bloontonium gain from them, so be wary when you need Bloontonium.
- The random targeting on the discount from Setup Bloon means that you should try and create a hand where Setup Bloon will very often or always guarantee value, mainly by running mainly 2 charge or above Bloons.
- With Zee Jay's Passive Awesomeness or Ceramic Glazing Kiln, this card deals only slightly less damage than a Bloon Strike, while granting a discount. Although this is a fair use for it, the damage is still low and may make it a low value inclusion in burn decks in terms of damage or when hitting a 1 charge Bloon.
- Setup Bloon is a cheap way to intercept an opponent's Hero Protection or Corvus Academy of Arts if they play either early.
- Setup Bloon can be popped by Defenders or Adora's passive ability, denying the discount. Play around Defenders to guarantee that it can gain value.

This is an overall pretty massive buff to Setup. Before, Setup really did not get that much value. Even hitting just a 2-charge Bloon didn't get you value because you would save 2, but you would also spend 2. Nowadays, if you use Discount Bloon[sic] and hit a 2-charge Bloon, you'll get [...] minus 1 cost overall on the thing. On swarm Bloons, it's a much bigger discount; before, [...] if you hit a 3-charge Bloon with Setup, you would [...] save 3 for 2, but with this new rework, you would spend 3 to save 6, which is a much bigger discount. Setup is generally kind of like For My Next Trick in that department, but it's a little bit more liable, can be used by any Hero, and it generally is pretty dang good with some Bloons. Development
Setup Bloon was reworked in Version 6.4 to make the discount function more impactful, giving more value rather than usually only break-evening the Gold cost to send this Bloon.[1] The reworked Setup Bloon was described to save up to 6 Gold for a full Swarm card, as well as comparable to a universal For My Next Trick.[1]
