Zombie Rainbow has a great health stat and resistance to removal from cards like Bloonsday Device for its price with high delay and only one charge as downsides. Similar to Damaged MOAB, it can be in decks looking for high value Bloon cards that don't care about this delay.
The 5 Gold cost is enough for Ezili to unlock her Totem after playing this Bloon. Ezili already naturally having synergy with Undead Bloons makes running this Bloon with her a strong choice.
One Dart Arts Wizard allows this Bloon to have the same total health as a MOAB, while maintaining the benefits of Revive and being 1 Gold cheaper.
Zombie Rainbow Bloon was just a really slow,[sic] and having a slow Bloon in a zombie deck, although it makes sense, it isn't exactly the greatest against a matchup like aggro, where you want to kill them as fast as possible. Development
Zombie Rainbow Bloon had its Health increased from 200 to 220 in the Version 6.2 playtests. Initially, it was considered overpowered before the Revive nerf added prior to the public release of Version 6.0, but more balanced after that nerf.[1] Zombie Bloons were deemed to be underpowered in general, so a community playtester proposed the aforementioned buff,[1] which was accepted for the update by Ninja Kiwi.
Version 6.4 reworked Zombie Rainbow Bloon was reworked to hit the opponent quicker as well as just work better in Zombie decks, especially when involving Ezili.[2] 1 less delay in exchange for 1 extra Gold isn't a problem when another turn would be needed to afford a 5 Gold Bloon in early rounds anyway.[2]
