Benjamin (or just Ben) is a character that debuted in Bloons TD 6. He is a "Code Monkey" who uses his technology to support other monkeys.
Gameplay
Benjamin is a Hero who does not attack Bloons directly, instead using his computer to generate cash (and eventually lives), buff monkeys, and weaken Bloons. He can generate cash by various methods, including end-of-round cash, incoming bloons, and hacking directly into bloons. He is somewhat expensive and levels up slowly. In Battles 2, Benjamin improves the player's Bloon Boosts and Tower Boosts instead of gaining lives.
His Hero Alt in Battles 2, DJ Benjammin', also focuses on income boosts, and though his income is not nearly as plentiful at first (starting off generating $50 per round), though he can gain more income than base Benjamin by having monkeys in his range. His support abilities are also more pronounced, with his passive ability to regenerate lives being replaced with reducing ability cooldowns across the whole map (except himself). Instead of increasing the income of Monkey Banks, he increases the value of all income sources except from Farms and Villages.
Other appearances
- In Bloons Pop!, there is a Scene item in Surf's Up named Benjamin's Private Yacht.
- Benjamin appears in concept art for Bloons Card Storm, but not the final game.
General information
Appearance
Benjamin has brown fur, tan skin, and grey eyes, with slicked back brown hair and an eyebrow slit on his left eyebrow. He wears a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a black tie and black pants. He carries around a grey laptop and sits in a black office chair. In Bloons TD 6 and Battles 2, his appearance changes as he levels up:
- At level 3, he gains a nondescript grey wrist-mounted device with three green screens.
- At level 5, he gains a pair of black sunglasses perched on his forehead, though these don't appear on his portrait until level 7.
- At level 7, his laptop gains a green antennae, a small satellite receiver, and an attachment that resembles a lock.
- At level 10, he wears his sunglasses properly, gains a grey dress shirt, replaces his laptop with a tablet, and deploys a large black server(?) with a satellite attachment behind him, replacing his office chair and letting him stand up.
- At level 20, his sunglasses are replaced with a green visor, his tablet is replaced with a holographic display and keyboard, he gains a black and bright green full-body suit with appropriate gloves and shoes and grey wristbands, and he gains an additional server, with both being slightly more detailed.

Benjamin is proficient in hacking and is seemingly somewhat braggadocios, being quick to declare "there's smart, and then there's me smart" when fully leveled, though he is otherwise depicted as easygoing. However, when encountering any type of MOAB-Class Bloon, he tends to express anxiety or resignation unlike most heroes, likely due to him not being able to attack them, though he quickly regains confidence once they are popped.
He also dabbles in working as a disc jockey, a field in which he is self-taught (via practicing and watching YouTube tutorials).[2]

Benjammin DJ (DJ Benjammin' in Battles 2) is the disc jockey alter ego of Benjamin that appears in BTD6 and Battles 2.
