Quiet Street is an Intermediate map in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 29.0. It takes place in a dead end street at night during winter.

Layout

On Quiet Street, Bloons come from the top-left and the bottom-left of the lined path, with their entrances and exits overlapping. Blimps enter from the left of the bottom Bloon entrance, and they take a path that has about the same shape as the Bloons-only track before exiting at the top-left. Boss Bloons appear on the Bloons' path, from top-left.

There are two frozen ponds that can be melted for $500 each to allow for water towers, in addition to 5 cars that block line-of-sight and are removable for $250 each.

Strategy

Quiet Street has a rather difficult early-game and mid-game compared to other Intermediate maps, due to the Bloons coming from both sides and having overlapping entrances and exits. However, the late-game is made simple by the blimps only coming from one lane. Quiet Street can be beaten, albeit with some challenges, with general guidelines found below.

Towers and upgrades that pull ahead on Quiet Street are listed below.

Name Portrait Reasoning
Corvus Spear trivializes the early-game, while most of his spellbook (including Trample, Echo, Ancestral Might, Repel, and Frostbound) sweeps the mid-game and save up titanic amounts of money for expensive win-conditions. Thus, Corvus takes care of the hardest parts of Quiet Street's game, and he still shines late-game with Ancestral Might and Overload.
Bloon Exclusion Zone If placed on the far right, BEZ's spread can cover a wide swath of all tracks. Despite its expensive price, Bloon Area Denial System can save up to BEZ fairly well, especially with Corvus. Once obtained and given Stronger Stimulant and 4 extra Acidic Mixture Dips for DDTs, BEZ easily solos the entire late-game. Use the 2-0-5 crosspath, as the lasers deal massive damage and the projectiles can reach more of the map when on the right.
Carpet of Spikes Due to the specific distance between the MOAB path and the regular paths, MOAB-Class Bloons are able to be hit by its spikes on both the outer ring and the inner ring, while their children can only hit the spikes on the inner ring, making the spikes not wasted when damaging MOAB-Class Bloons while still tanking random leaks on Bloons-only lanes on rounds such as 91. Carpet of Spikes trivializes DDT rounds, does solid damage to outer shells of ZOMGs, and eliminates all concerns for Round 100. Use the 2-5-0 crosspath to increase its spike piles' pierce and allow it to hit DDTs.

Development

Quiet Street is based on a map concept from a few years before the release of the mobile version called "Culdesac".[1] There are several differences between the original concept and Quiet Street:

  • The map didn't take place at night or during winter.
  • There was only one path instead of three. The path started in the top-left corner and went right, then went down into the loop in the bottom right, then followed the same path in reverse to the exit.
  • The loop was much smaller, only covered the radius of a 0-2-0 Tack Shooter, and didn't have a tree in the middle.
  • The five houses were much smaller, weren't mostly hidden off-screen, and lacked the cars in front of them.
  • Instead of two frozen ponds, there was a lake in the bottom left, a river that extended from it to the top of the screen, and a pool near where the path turns into the loop.

The name of this map changed multiple times during development,[2] possibly being named Winter Park at one point (which ended up being used for a different map instead).
