Bloons enter from the top-left and exit at the top-right. There is a mountainous peninsula in the center, hence the name of this map. The peninsula has a mountain that blocks line-of-sight severely, a small placeable section at the mountaintop, and a small plot for towers at its bottom-right. In addition, there are 3 small plots of land removable for $500, one at the peninsula's left, one at the bottom-left, and one at the top-right. Peninsula is mostly a water-filled map, with over 80% of the placeable space being only for water towers.
Strategy
Peninsula, with its line-of-sight blocker, short length, and shortage of good spots for land towers, is slightly above-average in terms of difficulty compared to other Advanced maps. However, the single-lane nature of Peninsula and the abundance of water allows for some strategies to excel. On release, Peninsula was widely regarded as the 4th most difficult map in BTD6, only after Muddy Puddles, Quad, and #Ouch, but has since been exceeded in difficulty by some new maps and been made easier by buffs to many towers.
Flagship is one of the few solid win conditions that can see over walls and take advantage of the entire map length. It possesses tremendous power through the 80s, while retaining solid strength into the 90s. The water-filled nature of this map also makes its ~17% buff to water towers stand out. Pair it with Admiral Brickell for her Naval Tactics and Mega Mines abilities.
The relatively short length and projectile-interfering mountain of Peninsula make it easy for Bloons to leak. Perma-Spike can take large amounts of Bloons and low-level blimps with ease, solving the problem of leaks. Put it at the removable plot on the top-right island, and pair it with a 3-0-1 Berserker Brew.
