Captain Churchill
Captain Churchill (or just Churchill) is a character that debuted in Bloons TD 6. He is a captain in the monkey army who operates an armoured battle tank capable of firing explosive munitions.
Gameplay
Captain Churchill is a Hero who uses his tank to pop Bloons. He fires shells that explode each time they hit a Bloon, creating multiple explosions in a chain. He is much more expensive than other Heroes and levels up slowly.
Captain Churchill is a Hero unlocked by completing level 30. He is unaffected by gravity, instead moving in a straight line and bouncing off walls. He fires explosive shells directly below him and damages Bloons that he rolls over.
General information
Appearance
Captain Churchill is a short-statured monkey with brown fur, tan skin, green eyes, and a scar between his eyes. He wears a brown bomber jacket with a belt, gray pants with black boots, a brown helmet, and goggles with square green lenses. His tank is green and sports treads with three wheels, two lights on the front, a gray gun with a light gray stripe, and a radio antenna with a red cap on the back. When he sits in his tank, only his head is visible. In Bloons TD 6 and Battles 2, his appearance changes as he levels up:
- At level 3, the barrel of the gun is enlarged and painted green to match the rest of the tank.
- At level 5, he gains a hand-held machine gun.
- At level 6, he gains an eyepiece with a red lens and the lenses of his goggles become red.
- At level 10, his helmet gets a camouflage pattern, his tank becomes bulkier, and a second gun is added to the back of the tank's turret.
- At level 20, his tank's colour scheme changes to black with red accents and his helmet's camouflage pattern becomes green.
Personality and traits
Churchill is very serious and determined on the battlefield. He has a passion for warfare and takes great pride in his artillery. Outside of battle, however, he is a massive weeaboo. He speaks in a British English accent.
Other forms
Sentai Churchill
Sentai Churchill is an alter ego of Churchill that appears in Bloons TD 6 and Bloons TD Battles 2. He is based on the Super Sentai series, a Japanese superhero franchise that is the basis for Power Rangers in the West, and he often makes references to both series. He wears a lime green power suit with yellow gloves and boots and a black visor that covers his face, and his tank is a darker shade of green with yellow plates and white accents. At higher levels, his visor changes to red and his tank becomes bulkier and gains black and red accents. He calls himself the "Iron Ranger" and gives his weapons hyperbolic names such as "turbo damage laser bombs". His tank is capable of transforming into a humanoid form and can speak in a heavily filtered robotic voice.
Sleigh Churchill
Sleigh Churchill is a skin featured in Bloons Pop! and Bloons TD 6. In this outfit, he rides a gun-mounted sleigh with a present motif and wears a Santa hat. He has a much jollier personality.
Rubber Ducky Churchill

Rubber Ducky Churchill is a skin featured in Bloons Pop!. In this outfit, he rides in an inflatable rubber duck with a mounted megaphone, and he wears a red cap with swim goggles.

- The back of his tank is a banana stash.
- His favourite colour is green.[2]
- He likes to hang out with Striker Jones and play cards[3] and Chess.[4] They go to the shooting range to debate who has the best artillery.[5]
- His favourite anime is Fullmetal Alchemist.[6]

- He claims to have an underground bunker full of tanks.[11]
- SASSY was a gift to him from Etienne.[12]
- When he doesn't want to talk, he likes to slowly slide into his tank and shut the lid.[13]

- He got his scar from a Sniper Monkey's Bouncing Bullet.[14]
- He modified his tank to have seat height adjustment, a flexible antenna, a goggles finder (that usually points to his head), and full transformation upgrades.[15]

- He's a good singer but doesn't like to admit it.[18]
- He goes to cosplay conventions to show off his sentai suit and take photos with kids.[19]
Cultural references
- Captain Churchill is named after Winston Churchill, a former British prime minister who led Britain during World War II, as well as the Churchill tank, which is named after General John Churchill. An image of Winston Churchill is featured in one of his teaser images for BTD6.
- His catchphrase, "The Sun God fights on the side with the best artillery", is a spoof of a quote by Napoleon Bonaparte: "God fights on the side with the best artillery".
- Sentai Churchill's glasses that he has at level 20 bear a resemblance to the eyewear of Kamina from the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
