Etienne is a monkey character introduced in Bloons TD 6. He is a French drone operator who uses his numerous dart-firing drones to pop Bloons.
Gameplay
[edit | edit source]Etienne is a Hero who doesn't deal much damage (at first), but has immense support utility thanks to his UAV passive ability that gives every tower on the map Camo Bloon detection. In Battles 2, he also gains a passive ability to either see what Bloon sends an opponent has queued, allowing the player to react accordingly, or temporarily stopping attacks to restore and generate extra lives, depending on the Hero chosen. He is about average in terms of price and levels up quickly.
In Bloons TD 6, he starts off with one drone at level 1, while in Battles 2 he starts with two.
General information

[edit | edit source]Etienne is a somewhat short monkey with brown fur and tan skin. He wears a pair of round goggles that obscures his eyes, a tan pilot hat with a yellow triangle emblem, an orange long-sleeve shirt, a striped blue scarf, navy blue pants and a pair of red shoes. In Bloons TD 6 and Battles 2, his appearance changes as he levels up:
- At level 3, he gains a green-yellow satchel on his left side and his remote control gains an additional antennae.
- At level 7, his remote control becomes larger and more advanced, his goggles turn infrared, and the seams on his pilot hat turn orange.
- At level 10, his pilot hat gains a French flag pin and a red antennae-like attachment, with his remote control turning yellow.
- At level 20, his pilot hat and shirt become a light navy blue, his hat gains an additional red pin, and he replaces his remote control with a yellow laptop adorned with stickers depicting a red circle, an orange triangle, and what seems to be a blue diamond.
Personality and traits
[edit | edit source]Etienne is is usually focused and observant, always trying to maintain focus on his drones on the battlefield (and becoming audibly annoyed when distracted). He is very protective of his drones, often resisting attempts by Engineer Monkeys to upgrade them.[2] Still, he has been stated to be "very talented" in his field.[3] He speaks in a prominent French accent, with his several voice lines in the language implying he is fluent in both French and English.
He also loves cats, having one of his own (named "Crêpe") and getting along very well with Ezili. Their respective cats are also friendly towards each other.[4]

- His four drones at level 19 are named Un, Deux, Trois and Baguette.[5] He refers to his UCAV as Argus, while his Drone Swarm drones don't have names.[6]
- Etienne and Rosalia think very highly of each other.[7]
- He has a lot of different collections, with some implied or stated collections including retro memorabilia[8] and plushies.[9]
- He enjoys drinking espresso.[10]
- His favorite book is A Game of Drones.[11]
- He has a camera drone, but mostly uses it to take pictures of his cat.[12]
- If Etienne were a standard tower, he would be Support-class.[13][14]
- He enjoys going to fancy food tastings in his spare time.[15]
- He has been rickrolled by Benjamin at least once.[16]
- His preferred browser is Chrome.[3]
- He is able to control up to eight drones at once due to his ability to switch tabs very quickly.[3]
- He only lets other monkeys fly his drones under strict supervision, with it being implied he pays for the drones out of pocket.[17]
- Sometimes, he, Rosalia and Gwendolin perform "remote-controlled combustion-related experiments".[18]
- Etienne and Benjamin would be the Heroes most interested in creating a video game.[19]
- Etienne and ETn's favorite game is likely Space Invaders.[20]
- ETn owns an alien cat.[21]
- Book Wyrm's dragons at level 19 are named Snaps, Tear-y, Chomp and Guivre.[22]
- Book Wyrm runs two Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.[23]
- Book Wyrm's outfit is the coziest of the Heroes, with Pat Fusty being envious of his very soft blanket.[24]
- Beetienne met the Bee Keeper at a local apiculturalist convention.[25]
