Clever Lead Bloon is a Basic Blooncard in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 4.0. Its armor reduces damage taken by 10. When played, if the previous card played by the player was a Monkey, it gains an additional 10 Armor, for a total of 20 Armor.
Compared to a Lead Bloon, it costs 1 less Gold, has 60 less Health, and gains extra Armor if a Monkey was previously played. Its low Health and slow speed makes it not a good card, even with the Clever function and cheaper cost than a normal Lead.
With the bonus Armor, it cannot be damaged by the Barrel of Monkeys without buffs such as Gwendolin's Heat It Up or the Game Night effect. However, a Bomb Shooter can one-shot a Clever Lead outside of Dark Castle.
Like all Clever Bloons, check the card history while playing the game to verify if your last played card was actually a Monkey.
During the Version 5.2 playtest, Ninja Kiwi proposed a buff to Clever Lead Bloon by increasing its Health from 70 to 80, which was added to the update unchanged.
