Streambed is an Intermediate map in Bloons TD 6. It is a dry river with a fossilized dinosaur skeleton.

Streambed was one of the first maps revealed before the release of the mobile version of Bloons TD 6.

Layout

[edit | edit source]

Bloons come down from the north end of the map and travel to the east end. There is a pool of water on the map and a dinosaur skull next to it, which blocks line-of-sight and can be removed for $1000. The rocks near the corners of the map also block line-of-sight.

Strategy

[edit | edit source]

Having relatively long, compact, and single-lane track, Streambed is among the easiest Intermediate maps in BTD6. In general, towers are best placed to the right of the skull or below the line extending out from the entrance to gain good coverage of multiple sectors of the map. The top of the pool works well for Monkey Buccaneers, which can barely hit the track above the skull and trigger both sides of their guns frequently. Many strategies work on this map, and therefore, general guidelines listed below can be used to defeat this map.

Towers that work particularly well on Streambed are listed here.

[edit | edit source]
Name Portrait Reasoning
Destroyer The top of the pool grants Destroyer the ability to hit the track above the skull and both sides of its attack. The 3-2-0 crosspath paired with Berserker Brew powers through the early part of the mid-game. Its transitions smoothly to its succeeding upgrades, with Aircraft Carrier further improving its mid-game power and Carrier Flagship carrying power into the late-game. In addition, Perma-Brew, which Flagship saves up easily to, can be obtained for Destroyers to make them absolutely power through the late-game.
The Bloon Solver When placed to the right of the skull, Solver's range covers wide swaths of 3 different track sectors. With that, Solver can deal damage to blimps at the start while wiping out large clumps of low-tier blimps and Super Ceramics near the end with its glue and puddles. Solver works well with Flagship, which pops some blimps and allows Solver to trigger a chain effect with its puddles.
