Bloons Supermonkey 2 (also parsed Bloons Super Monkey 2) is a title shared by the Flash version of Bloons Super Monkey 2, developed by Ninja Kiwi and released in 2012; and the mobile version, developed by Ninja Kiwi Europe and released in 2016. These are two games in the Bloons Supermonkey series, the sequel to Bloons Super Monkey, and the only games in the Bloons franchise to be a sequel to a game that is not part of the Bloons series or Bloons TD series.

Allies

[edit | edit source]
Main article: Ally (BSM2)

Allies are monkeys that the player summons by collecting powerups dropped by Golden Bloons, Powerup BloonsBloons Super Monkey 2 (Flash), or sometimes Mystery BloonsBloons Supermonkey 2 (mobile). In the Flash version, they temporarily replace Super Monkey, while in the mobile version, they fly alongside Super Monkey for a short time. Each ally has powerful weapons and is associated with one of the first five weapon types.

Bloons

[edit | edit source]

Blops

[edit | edit source]
Main article: Blop

Popping Bloons spawns Blops that Super Monkey collects by moving towards them. Bloons initially drop Red Blops, but if the player replays the level, all Red Blops they previously collected are replaced with Blue Blops. The player earns achievements by collecting all of the Red Blops in each level.

In the Flash version, all Blops convert into Blop Cash, a currency used to buy weapons and research. In the mobile version, Red Blops and Blue Blops are separate currencies: weapons cost Red Blops, while research and skins cost Blue Blops.

Medals

[edit | edit source]
Main article: Medal (BSM series)

When the player completes a level, they earn a bronze, silver, gold, or diamond medal (called trophies in the Flash version) depending on the number of Bloons popped. The player is required to earn at least a bronze medal to complete the level, and in the Flash version, they are required to earn a bronze medal before encountering a Boss Bloon, otherwise the level ends prematurely. The diamond medal requires popping every Bloon in the level in one playthrough. The player earns achievements by collecting diamond medals.

Badges

[edit | edit source]
Main article: Badge (BSM2)

Each level has a set of badges the player can collect to earn achievements. In all versions, each level has Powerset Badges the player can collect by completing the level using specific weapons. For each weapon type, there is a badge for completing the level using only that weapon type, and there is one Mixed Weapons badge for completing the level with a combination of different weapon types.

In the mobile version, each level has three additional badges that are not powerset badges: one for popping the level's Golden Bloon, one for popping all three Mystery Bloons in the level, and one for collecting all three powerup crates in the level.
