Least Tiers is a challenge rule set in Bloons TD 6 introduced in version 31.0. With this rule, the game counts the number of "tiers" the player purchases, and the goal is to minimize the number of tiers. The following actions count as a tier:

• Placing a tower (that is not a Power)
• Purchasing an upgrade on a tower (including Heroes and Powers Pro)

The following actions do not count as a tier:

• Placing a sub-tower, such as Special Poperations's Marine
• Purchasing an item from Geraldo's Shop
• Spending cash on removables or gizmos

Game types that use Least Tiers

• Odyssey Events can have Least Tiers on islands.
• Custom challenges created in the Challenge Editor can have Least Tiers, as can custom Odysseys in the Odyssey Editor.
• In Contested Territory, regular tiles have a 40% chance to use Least Tiers, while Banner and Relic tiles have a 30% chance. Least Tiers tiles never allow Gwendolin, Captain Churchill, Sauda, Geraldo, Corvus, or Dan D'Monke.
• Starting in version 37.0, Boss Bloon Events may use Least Tiers for scoring instead of time or Least Cash.
• In Competitive Mode in Boss Challenge, the player can record their high scores in Least Tiers mode for each boss on each map.
• The Quest Grow Less Than Galaxili! uses Least Tiers.
