Gwendolin attacks by shooting fireballs at Bloons from her flamethrower. Initially, each flame deals 1 damage to up to 2 Bloons and she fires every 0.5 seconds with a range of 38 units. Almost every level improves her flame attack. None of her attacks can pop Purple Bloons without support until she reaches level 16, and her main attack cannot target Camo Bloons but all of her activated abilities can affect Camo.
Starting at level 4, she gains a passively generating Heat It Up attack that is triggered every 40 shots from her flamethrower, creating a high-pierce radial fire attack that pops Bloons and additionally applies a temporary buff to other nearby towers, giving them +1 pierce and the ability to pop frozen and Lead Bloons. Starting at level 17, the buff grants additional damage to all Bloons, especially Lead Bloons.
Cocktail of Fire (level 3) — Drops a cocktail onto a targeted location within her range, creating a blaze (similar to Wall of Fire) that constantly damages non-Purple Bloons that pass through it.
Firestorm (level 10) — Damages and burns all non-Purple Bloons on screen and immediately applies a Heat It Up effect to all other towers on the screen.
Gwendolin's main attack is a flamethrower that shoots flame projectiles. It deals 1 Fire-typedamage and has 2 pierce, with an attack cooldown of 0.5 seconds and a range of 38 units.

Heat It Up unlocks at level 4. It is a burst of fire that damages nearby Bloons and buffs nearby towers (but not Gwendolin herself). The attack triggers at Gwendolin's position every 40 shots or 1.5 seconds after it last triggered, whichever takes longer. Both the fire burst and buff have a radius of 38 units, which cannot be increased by external range buffs.
The fire burst has 100 pierce, deals 3 Fire-type damage, and ignores line of sight blockers.
The buff gives towers +1 pierce and allows them to pop Lead Bloons and frozen Bloons, and lasts for 8 seconds.

Cocktail of Fire unlocks at level 3. It causes Gwendolin to throw a molotov cocktail on the track, creating a Wall of Fire-like projectile that rapidly damages Bloons that pass through it. It can damage Camo Bloons even if Gwendolin does not have Camo detection. The player can set the cocktail's landing point to anywhere within Gwendolin's range using the targeting option, even behind line of sight blockers. It deals 1 Fire-type damage every 0.2 seconds, hitting up to 20 Bloons at a time in a 15-unit radius each tick, and lasts for 12 seconds or until destroyed on contact with an immune Bloon. The ability has a 30-second cooldown.

Firestorm unlocks at level 10. It instantly deals Fire-type damage to all Bloons on-screen, applies Fire-type damage over time to affected Bloons, and applies the Heat It Up buff to all towers on-screen (with the same stat buffs and duration as the main attack's Heat It Up at Gwendolin's current level). It can damage Camo Bloons even if Gwendolin does not have Camo detection, and has separate properties for regular Bloons and MOAB-Class Bloons: regular Bloons take 5 damage initially and 2 damage every 0.5 seconds for 8 seconds, while MOAB-Class Bloons take 20 damage initially and 15 damage every second for 8 seconds. The ability has a 60-second cooldown.

Gwendolin is best used in strategies that need consistent lead-popping against DDTs and do generally low base damage and attack quickly, to benefit most from her late-game Heat It Up buffs, and those that struggle to pop large groups of non-Purple Bloons, especially in the mid-game as her abilities are strong counters to the Ceramic rushes on Rounds 63, 76, and 78. Her flat pierce buff is most effective for towers with high damage but low pierce attacks, such as Inferno Ring (which also benefits from her Pyrotechnics Expert passive). It is recommended to position Gwendolin close to a cluster of defenses, preferably a bit ahead of the main damage dealer(s) to ensure she triggers Heat It Up often.

Gwendolin’s Heat it Up! attack/buff has been sitting in a weird spot where it would benefit from attack speed but does not because of the cooldown which prevents it ever having full uptime. This rework makes her have a roughly similar uptime at all levels without being buffed, however she will now benefit properly with increased uptime depending on any rate modifiers applied to her. A fully juiced Gwendolin around level 15 or 18 should now be capable of achieving 100% buff uptime — Update notes

The last Gwendolin change didn't come through as well as intended for a number of reasons, so while keeping true to the intention behind this change it has been improved across the board to properly buff this again — Update notes
As the Firestorm ability itself drops off later anyway, Gwen’s level 17 buff to Heat it Up will now apply to the version granted to all towers by Firestorm as well. — Update notes

Firestorm: Now applies the boosted version of Heat It Up that unlocks at level 17 (+1 base damage and +1 damage to Lead)
Similar to Wall of Fire, Gwendolin’s Cocktail gains too much strength in grouped situations too early on and so this power has been pushed to higher levels. — Update notes
As she’s a little average all around these days with other heroes overtaking in the past years, Gwendolin is seeing some improved quality of life, synergization, and extra juice to the initial hit of Firestorm since currently the ability is, well, not heroic enough and the first impact does very little compared to the DoT. — Update notes

For now with a noteworthy direct comparison to Brickell and the use cases for these two heroes we have done a price swap keeping the lesser of the two at the lower price point. However as 750 would put gwen on the same cost as Striker Jones and we want starts with base 4 heroes to stay more diverse we have taken her down a little extra on top of that. — Update notes

Gwen’s early game is just too much, especially far too excessive with the right combinations of knowledge / relic buffs so some of this power is being pushed up more with a makeup buff to cocktail at Lv7 where this has started to fall off by. — Update notes
Looking back over her kit, we noticed that we’ve never improved the actual attack itself for Gwen’s Heat it Up. Allowing her to be juiced up with high attack speed in order to spam these supercharged bursts of damage sounds fun and cool, so while noting that this will also increase the uptime of her buff we’re removing the limiter on her Heat it Up rate and pumping up its damage tenfold. — Update notes

Gwen’s attack rate levels (Lv12, 15, 18) no longer reduce Heat it Up frequency
Gwendolin’s Heat it Up was recently reworked to allow for much more frequent triggering from attacks, however the 4.5s internal cooldown still limits it from being scaled up far so that internal cooldown is now also being reduced. Additionally, Heat it Up’s bonus buff to damage against Lead targets has been improved slightly so we can get more out of that niche. — Update notes

As T1 artifacts can easily be filled in with selected starting artifacts we felt a lot of starter teams didn’t stand out from the rest in too meaningful a way (other than starting towers), so to improve on this we’ve gone over a lot of the worse performing starter teams and upgraded their starter artifacts to higher tiers. — Update notes
