Strike Bloon is a Basic Bloon card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 4.0. If it leaks to the opponent's Hero, the player's Hero restores health equal to the damage the opponent takes. It does not count overkill damage or damage dealt to a Shield.
The card artwork depicts Gwendolin cheering and gaining green plus symbols after a Strike Bloon hits Quincy.
Tips
[edit | edit source]- Strike Bloon can add a good source of offensive healing in Aggro decks, offering healing on leak at the expense of Strike Bloon having 10 less HP than a Green Bloon.
- Compared to Quick Break, Strike Bloon heals only up to 80 per Bloon (20 less than Quick Break) but can synergize with health buffs such as Fortify. Being a Bloon, it also gives much more offensive potential and Bloontonium, so although the healing is lower it generally is better for more aggressive decks.
- Zee Jay's passive will let Strike Bloon heal the same amount of health as Quick Break.
- Strike Bloon if going in a mirror Aggro matchup can be a great way to swing the game in your favor due to the simultaneous damage and healing that you can get for cheap.
- Shield doesn't count for Strike Bloon's health heal, so Obyn Greenfoot decks can cause a late Strike Bloon to heal nothing via the use of a card like Wall of Trees. Mana Shield is also good for negating the health recovery.
- Strike Bloon versus Dreadbloon can be used to recover some lost lives; however, many of Dreadbloon's defensive cards (Immunity, Wrath of Dread, Dread Shield, Armored) and abilities (e.g. Rock Pop and Awe and Bloon Removal Time from the Board Destruction stage) can negate or limit the Strike Bloon's heal. If you must run a healing option, then Clever Yellow Bloon or Monkey Priestess is typically preferred.
- The only time that the inability to heal on overkill matters is when Dreadbloon is already at low health. Avoid wasting this Bloon when Dreadbloon's health is low, if possible.

Bloontonium gain decreased ― 3 → 2
Health decreased ― 90 → 80
Development
[edit | edit source]
This Bloon was inspired by a fan-made concept called “Peppermint Bloon” by u/ViableFries, which shared the effect.
During Version 6.2 playtests, Strike Bloon was noted as underpowered due to being generally outclassed by the Clever Yellow Bloon since its release, notably for Barrel of Monkeys.[1] A rework was done to decrease its cost but slightly reduce its Health, which made it less risky for Hero healing in aggro,[1] and rival the Clever Yellow as more specialized for aggro (Clever Yellow sees use in both aggro and tempo).[1]
