Upgrades

[edit | edit source]

Glaive Path

Glaives
Tier 1
Icon of Glaives
Throw powerful glaives which hit more Bloons.
This upgrade increases the main attack's projectile speed by 20%, projectile radius by 50% (100% with the enhancement), and pierce by 100% (150% with the enhancement). Visually, the projectiles change from boomerangs to glaives.
Icon of Honed Edges
Glaives can pop more Bloons.
This upgrade increases the pierce of the main attack's projectiles (including Scraparangs shrapnel) by 100%.
Icon of Razor Sharp Glaives
Increased crit chance and crit damage.
This upgrade increases the crit chance and crit damage of the main attack's glaives by 10% and 100%, respectively.
Second Lap
Tier 3
Icon of Second Lap
Glaives do an additional loop.
This upgrade causes the main attack's glaives to travel in a full loop around the team, flying past the Boomer on the first lap, and return on the second lap. The enhancement causes them to make two full loops around the team and return on the third lap instead.
Icon of Orbiting Glaives
Glaives orbit the team.
Icon of Hungry Glaives
Glaives get bigger as they pop Bloons.
This upgrade increases the pierce of the main attack's projectiles by 50% and causes them to increase in radius by 10% (15% with the enhancement) each time they pop a Bloon layer. This also affects Scraparangs shrapnel if crosspathed.

Turbo Path

Icon of Rapid Rangs
Throws rangs faster.
This upgrade increases the main attack's attack speed by 100% (150% with the enhancement). It does not affect the Mecha Rangs attack.
Icon of Aerodyrangics
Rangs fly faster and hit more Bloons.
This upgrade increases the pierce and projectile speed of the main attack's projectiles (including Scraparangs shrapnel) by 20% and 50%, respectively.
Icon of Ranging on the Run
All Boomers attack faster while moving.
This upgrade increases the attack speed of all Boomers in the team by 10% per second the Hero spends moving, up to +100% attack speed after 10 seconds. This stat boost resets to 0% if the Hero does not move for at least 0.5 seconds.
Multi-Rang
Tier 3
Icon of Multi-Rang
Throws more boomerangs.
This upgrade causes the Boomerang Monkey's main attack to throw two projectiles at a time instead of one. The second projectile deals the same damage as the first projectile and spawns shrapnel if crosspathed with Scraparangs, but it travels in an anti-clockwise circle instead of a clockwise circle, has 12 pierce instead of 16, cannot crit, and has no knockback. The Level 2 version of this upgrade is functionally identical and does not throw three projectiles at a time, despite what the description states.
Icon of Turbocharge
Keep moving to activate a team speed boost.
Icon of Red Hot Rangs
Rangs leave a trail of fire.
This upgrade causes the main attack's clockwise-moving boomerangs to spawn flame projectiles under them every 0.5 seconds. Each flame deals 5 damage (with a 2% base chance to crit for double damage) to Bloons every 0.49 seconds on contact, has infinite pierce, and lasts for 1 second.

Mecha Path

Icon of Scraparangs
Rangs break into shrapnel.
This upgrade causes each projectile from the Boomerang Monkey's main attack to spawn three shrapnel projectiles in a circle the first time it hits a Bloon. Each frag deals 5 damage with 1 pierce (10 damage with 2 pierce with the Level 2 version), but cannot crit or inflict knockback.
Icon of Heavy Metal
Rangs deal more damage and knockback.
This upgrade increases the damage and knockback applied by all of the Boomerang Monkey's projectiles by 50%. This upgrade affects Scraparangs shrapnel, but since they inflict no knockback, it only increases their damage.
More Scrap
Tier 2
Icon of More Scrap
Rangs break into more shrapnel.
This upgrade increases the number of shrapnel projectiles spawned by the Boomerang Monkey's main attack from 3 to 6, which are still spread in a circle.
Icon of Dizzy Rangs
Rangs stun Bloons on impact.
This upgrade causes all of the Boomerang Monkey's projectiles to stun Bloons they hit for 1 second (3 seconds with the Level 2 version). This does not affect Boss Bloons.
Icon of Concussive Rangs
Rangs explode and knock back Bloons.
Icon of Mecha Rangs
Throws a massive mechanical boomerang that seeks Bloons.
This upgrade unlocks a second attack that throws large boomerangs (50% larger with the Level 2 version) that seek out the strongest Bloons. It fires every ~7.14 seconds and has a ~1.428-second initial cooldown. Each boomerang deals 10 damage with a 2% chance to crit for double damage, has 24 pierce (36 pierce with the Level 2 version), applies no knockback, and can re-hit Bloons it has already hit every 0.2 seconds. It does not spawn any shrapnel or stun Bloons.
