The Sniper (Sniper Monkey prior to version 1.0) is a Monkey in Bloons Blitz. It attacks using a rifle that shoots piercing bullets, hitting all Bloons in a straight line at the same time. It aims at the strongest Bloon within range (prioritizing the closest one if tied) and deals more damage to the target than to other Bloons hit by the same shot.

Upgrades
[edit | edit source]Tactical Path
Collecting intel unlocks buffs to all Sniper Monkeys in the player's team. Each buff requires more intel to unlock than the previous buff, though any excess intel from the previous buff (i.e., by collecting a cache and earning more intel than required for that buff) carries over. The Level 2 version of this upgrade reduces the amount of intel required for each buff by almost half in total. Caches stop spawning after the player unlocks all seven intel buffs.
- A yellow crate that grants the team a random amount of XP in the range of 100–500 (250–750 with the Level 2 version)
- A black crate that grants a 100% attack speed buff to the whole team for 5 seconds (10 seconds with the Level 2 version)
- A green crate that restores 1 health to the Hero, or adds 1 Temp HP if they are already at full health (except in Iron Monkey and Bodyguards mode)
These crates act like Encounters, activating once the player stands within the circle for 1 second, though unlike normal Encounters, finding them does not generate XP and Boss Bloons spawning in does not destroy them.

Trivia
[edit | edit source]- The Sniper Monkey's portrait before version 1.0 was exactly the same as its portrait in Bloons TD 6, despite having significant design changes that carried over from Bloons Card Storm, such as the addition of a jacket. This was unlike the Wizard Monkey and Alchemist, whose portraits were edited to account for some changes, such as the Wizard's glasses and Alchemist's vest buckle.
