Tar Pits is an Extreme track in the multiplatform version, console version, and Flash version of Bloons TD 5. It takes place in a barren and rocky area with five circular tar pits surrounding a small lake.

Layout

Bloons enter from each corner of the track and exit at each corner of the track. Each of the five paths enters from a cave and solely includes one 360° clockwise loop around one of the circular tar pits before exiting via the same cave. A large circular pool of water also occupies the very center of the map. The caves, other rocks, and tar pits all block tower placement.

In the Flash version, the player can place land towers in the tar pits, and the paths alternate directions every other round (e.g. clockwise for the first two rounds, then anticlockwise for the next two rounds, then clockwise for the next two rounds, and so on).
