Mesa is an Advanced map in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 20.0.

Layout

Mesa has is situated in a desert landscape and has a crashed UFO at the top-left. The map has 2 lanes, with the top lane being significantly longer than the bottom lane. The desert landscape and map layout closely resemble Death Valley from Bloons TD 5, with the main differences being the longer bottom lane and the addition of line-of-sight blockers. There are 3 removable growths on top of 3 protruding rocks, each costing $500. The valley that contains the long top lane is at a lower elevation compared to the rest of the map, blocking most towers placed there from hitting the bottom lane.

Strategy

Mesa is one of the most difficult Advanced maps, due to the 2 separate lanes, the format of the lanes confusing the targeting of many towers, and the many line-of-sight blockers. The section directly to the top-right of the center is usually the best place to put towers, as the lanes are relatively close there and short-range towers can reach both lanes from there. However, towers placed there can have confusing targeting, focusing on the bottom lane first and sometimes letting the Bloons in top lane go too far before attacking them. The rock growths protruding the landscape are good places to put towers as well, as towers there do not suffer from line-of-sight issues.

Name Icon Reasoning
Perma-Spike The confusing targeting on this map makes it easy for Bloons to leak, especially on the top lane, and Perma-Spike's ability to tank significant amounts of Bloons on both lanes and general slight focus into the top lane makes it well-suited for this map.
Corvus Spear trivializes the early-game, most of the spellbook become useful and can save-up to towers such as Perma-Spike in the mid-game, and Ancestral Might and Overload are powerful late-game. He pairs especially well with Perma-Spike, which tanks Bloons that Corvus may leak to, especially during the late-game.
Giant Condor It turns most rounds on this map into effectively single-lane by moving BFBs and MOABs to it. Set the reticle to the top lane, as it is longer and would give towers more time to defend Bloons. Perma-Spike covers Condor's weakness against DDT rounds by tanking the DDTs that Condor cannot move quickly enough.
Symphonic Resonance It can move Bloons on one path closer to the other, making it easier for towers to cover both lanes.
