Bugs and glitches

Upgrade stacking glitch

This glitch currently doesn't work on Ruffle because it doesn't support navigation keys. By pressing Tab until an upgrade button is highlighted and pressing Enter to purchase it, the player can purchase that upgrade multiple times on one tower. There's no limit to the number of times the upgrade can be bought and it doesn't stop if the player can't afford it, which puts their money into the negatives. The most useful application of this glitch is to use the Tack Shooter's Faster Shooting upgrade to increase its attack speed to the cap of 40 shots per second; this specific application is often called the "hypersonic Tack Shooter glitch".

Blurbs

Bloons Tower Defense 2 is here! Now with 3 new maps - easy, medium and hard, 1 new tower type, some new upgrades, and brand new on track placeable items, monkey glue, and road spikes. To challenge you there are 2 new bloon types. Have fun passing all 50 levels!
— Description on Ninja Kiwi
Don't let any bloons escape - buy monkeys, tack shooters, cannons and boomerang throwers to help you. The sequel to the original bloons tower defense game.
— Description on MochiGames
We had a huge response to the first game, most people seemed to have lots of fun despite the game being fairly easy by most td standards. We've added 3 new maps, one for three difficulty settings. We've also added a new tower type, the boomerang tower, as well as some new 'on track' items: Road spikes and Monkey glue. A sequel wouldn't be complete without more bloons of course, and we've added 2 nasty new types, the lead bloon and the rainbow bloon.

Enjoy.
