The Dart Monkey (Dart Tower in Bloons Tower Defense) is a tower in the Bloons TD series, introduced in Bloons Tower Defense. Inspired by the monkey from the Bloons series, the Dart Monkey is included in every Bloons TD game.
Gameplay
For its incarnations in BTD1 and Bloons Tower Defense 2, the Dart Monkey has two upgrades improving its pierce and/or range; Bloons TD 3 adds upgrades that further increase those attributes. Bloons TD 4 and its mobile version introduced the Spike-o-pult upgrade, exchanging the monkey's darts for spiked balls.
In Bloons TD 5, Bloons TD 5 Deluxe, the mobile version of BTD5, Bloons TD Battles, the mobile version of BTDB, and Bloons Monkey City, the Dart Monkey returns with two upgrade paths. The first path focuses mainly on bursts of damage via the Spike-O-Pult and Juggernaut upgrades. The second path introduces Triple Darts, which can be upgraded to the DPS-oriented Super Monkey Fan Club.
In Bloons TD 6 and Bloons TD Battles 2, the Dart Monkey is classified as a Primary tower. The first path, with the addition of Ultra-Juggernaut, fulfills a similar role to its BTD5 counterpart. The second path allows for buffing other Dart Monkeys' DPS, culminating with the Plasma Monkey Fan Club's Activated Ability. The third path swaps out its darts for a crossbow, allowing for increased pierce and speed. In BTD6, it has a Paragon called the Apex Plasma Master.
In Bloons Adventure Time TD, the Dart Monkey is a Common ally. Its upgrades increase its pierce and allow it to throw three darts at a time.

In Bloons Card Storm, the Dart Monkey is a playable unit. It costs 0 Gold to play and does 20 damage with 1 ammo, with 1 reload.
