The Monkey Beacon is a tower in the Bloons TD series, introduced in Bloons Tower Defense 3. It is a gray satellite dish that passively buffs the stats of any other towers in its range.

Starting with Bloons TD 5, the Monkey Beacon was replaced with the Monkey Village, though the name was kept for one of its upgrades for that generation of games.

Gameplay

At first, the Monkey Beacon only buffs tower range by a small amount, but as it gets upgraded, it gains the ability to buff attack speed as well. In Bloons TD 4, it also has an upgrade that grants towers the ability to target Camo Bloons. Its ultimate upgrade in both of its appearances is one that calls the Super Monkey Storm, wiping every non-MOAB-Class Bloon off the screen for a somewhat hefty price (with a cooldown in BTD4, making it a precursor to the Activated Ability mechanic).

While the tower itself would be absent in future installments, the Super Monkey Storm would return for Bloons TD 5 and 6 as a Special Agent and Power, respectively. Bloons TD 6 features the Super Monkey Beacon, a Power Pro variant of that game's Super Monkey Storm, which is a tower that has an updated Super Monkey Storm Activated Ability mechanic and a similar name to the Monkey Beacon.
