Life Drain Bloon
Immobile. On Turn End: Reduce your opponent's max health by 25
Race down the stairs and through the temple gates!
Life Drain Bloon is a Basic Blooncard in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 6.0. It is an immobile Bloon that reduces the opponent's current Health and max Health by 25 at the end of each turn. The life loss bypasses Shield and can lower lives to 0 or less. Boss Hero health reduced by Life Drain Bloon does not contribute score in Boss Battles.
The card artwork portrays a Life Drain Bloon absorbing Quincy's energy, both of them inside a dark room.
Life Drain Bloon is a slow burn option that bypasses many ways to defend a hero, such as Shields and Defenders. As such, aggressive playstyles may add Life Drain Bloon as a long-term finisher while other Bloon cards wear down the opponent. If the opponent takes enough damage from Life Drain Bloon, they will be more vulnerable to finishers, including OTK strategies involving weaker Bloons, as well as Quick Ready.
Since Life Drain Bloon reduces max health, it can allow these aggressive decks to counteract healing effects such as Quick Break or Adora, High Priestess's Ultimate Sacrifice.
Life Drain effectively deals 25 damage on activation as the ability subtracts 25 health from the opponent even if they are not at max health.
Life Drain Bloon has the same cost as a Bloon Strike but generates Bloontonium, and takes at least two starting turns to break even with the damage it deals.
Playing Life Drain Bloon guarantees the effect at least once. Equipping multiple Life Drain Bloons may be helpful to ensure the opponent is more vulnerable to OTK. Three of them can guarantee that their max Health is only 425 in normal gameplay.
Three Life Drain Bloon activations allow a Quick Readied Double Ceramic Bloon to OTK the opponent if they lack ways to deal damage to it or counter it elsewhere.
If the opponent doesn't feel threatened by other rushes, such as Yellow Bloons, they may focus fire on the Life Drain Bloon first. Shield from Amelia the Amazing's passive can be helpful in protecting it.

Development
This card originally reduced max health by 10 per turn but it was increased to 25 per turn before the update released due to feedback from community playtesters.[1] The original amount was displayed in the update video.[2]
During the Version 6.2 playtests, a community tester proposed that its effect be changed from On Turn Start to On Turn End, which got approved by Ninja Kiwi for the released update. The Life Drain Bloon was argued to be underpowered due to the effect triggers not being immediately threatening at all.[3] Changing the effect trigger from On Turn Start to On Turn End was suggested by a community tester.[4]
