Bloons Adventure Time TD (abbreviated BATTD) is a crossover game in the Bloons TD series that combines elements from the Bloons games and the Adventure Time television series. Its gameplay is based on Bloons TD 6, but it features unique towers referred to as characters, which include both Adventure Time characters and monkey characters, who can be equipped with weapons, trinkets, and allies. The game takes place in the Land of Ooo, the main setting of Adventure Time, after a portal appears and brings Bloons into it, leading the Adventure Time characters to team up with the monkeys to defend against the Bloons.

Characters
Unlike other Bloons TD games, gameplay in BATTD revolves around characters, which are one-off towers that include both monkey characters and Adventure Time characters. Many characters are analogous to towers from other Bloons TD games, such as Max, who is similar to a Dart Monkey, and Ice King, who is similar to an Ice Monkey. The player can choose up to ten characters to use in a game, and the player can only place one of each character. Unlike other towers, upgrades for characters use a tree structure where upgrades can lead into multiple other upgrades and/or have multiple prerequisite upgrades. Each character has a star level that can be increased by spending character resources, which unlocks permanent enhancements and access to more upgrades. Characters can also be customized with items to enhance their stats and grant additional abilities:
- Weapons modify the character's stats, and become more effective at higher star levels. Each character can only equip one weapon of their preferred weapon type.
- Trinkets modify the character's stats and/or apply special perks. Each character can equip up to three trinkets at star level 1, increasing to up to 10 trinkets at star level 10.
- Allies are minor towers that have their own upgrades, but cannot equip anything or level up. Each character can equip one ally at level 1, increasing to up to four allies at level 10.
These items are primarily obtained at random from wish orbs.
Alts
Some characters have alternate forms, which are generally treated as separate characters and have their own mechanics, upgrades, and equipment restrictions.
Powers
Powers are items the player can use in a game to activate beneficial effects. They come in five different tiers of rarity, which determines their cost in coins. The player can choose up to eight powers to bring into a game.

Adventures and maps
Maps in BATTD are grouped into sets called Adventures. Each Adventure has an overarching plot (some with voiced dialogue between characters) and one to four maps, which are unlocked by playing them in sequence. Earning all medals of a specific difficulty in one Adventure unlocks an Adventure Chest containing additional rewards. Completing Adventures is the primary way of unlocking more characters.

Strategy
| This strategy section is empty or incomplete. See the strategy guidelines for more information on how to write strategy sections. The editor who added this notice elaborates: This section should contain a few basic pointers (like items to prioritize getting and beginner's traps to avoid), while the main article should go more in-depth |
- An effective strategy when starting out is to prioritize early money into getting Bro Fist early, providing additional cash generation and restoring leaked lives. Later on, Finn still becomes useful for gaining eco with Thief King's Dagger and Mystery Cave Pick.
- During games, find a chokepoint on the map and build your defense around there, such as the back of Candy Kingdom Streets or in the bottom-middle of Wizard Royale where all Bloon paths eventually lead to.
- Players should prioritize getting Supermonkey as despite his larger cost compared to other characters, his high damage can effectively carry the Hard and Extreme difficulties.
- Wish orbs contain many trinkets that can be considered not useful. From common and uncommon wish orbs, take trinkets and weapons that boost damage, pierce, or give a decamo/slow/stun effect. For allies, take the ones that benefit specific characters like Pirate Crew and Super Fans.
- Players should prioritize getting Thought Cannon Wand and Treasure Chest Keys from higher rarity Wish orbs, as they greatly increase the amount of loot players can get per game.
