Absolute Zero is the Ice Tower's path 2 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 5. It grants an Activated Ability with a 45 second cooldown that:
- Freezes all Non MOAB-Class Bloons for 4 seconds that last through 2 layers
- Applies permafrost to all Bloons (including MOAB-Class and Boss Bloons on the multiplatform version of Bloons TD 5), slowing them down by 50% for 2 layers

Strategy
The Absolute Zero ability in the Flash version is much less viable than the Multiplatform version due its inability to affect MOAB-class Bloons. For the Flash version, it is generally best to keep the tower at the previous upgrade, Ice Shards. In the Mobile version, the Absolute Zero ability can be done for a cheap method of slowing blimps on screen, often buying considerable amounts of time to damage strong BFB groups and the final ZOMG. In ultra late game, since AZ cannot apply permafrost to MOABs inside of a Super Wide Funnel, it is not effective in ultra-late freeplay and should be avoided.
