Energy Beacon was the Monkey Village's initial path 1 tier 3 upgrade in the Flash version of Bloons TD 5. It was reworked into the similarly-named High Energy Beacon during a 2012 update, with its previous spot going to Monkey Town and the reworked upgrade moving to the final tier of the first path.

Energy Beacon worked similarly to its replacement, reducing Activated Ability cooldowns by 20%, but lacked the damaging laser on top of the village.
