Agent Jericho (or simply Jericho) is a character in Bloons TD Battles 2 and Bloons TD Battles 2+. He is a Covert Ops Battles Response Agent of the Covert Ops Battles Response Agency.

Gameplay

Agent Jericho is one of two Heroes exclusive to Bloons TD Battles 2. He acts as a rework of the COBRA from Bloons TD Battles. He uses a pistol to deal high damage to Bloons one at a time and can interfere with the opponent by buffing Bloons on their side, stealing their cash, or sending decoy Bloons to interfere with their towers.

Highwayman Jericho is similar to Agent Jericho, but his first ability can destroy the opponent's towers if they do not have enough cash to steal, and his second ability moves a MOAB-Class Bloon on the player's side to the opponent's.

Star Captain Jericho's pistol is weaker, but fires faster than Agent Jericho's pistol and causes Bloons to become shocked. His first ability earns cash by putting the opponent into debt, and his second ability allows the player to spawn Bloon sends further up the opponent's track.

Agent Jericho is also available as the hardest opponent in Hero Challenge, who uses his abilities to sabotage his opponent and frequently cheats when sending Bloons.

General information

Appearance

Agent Jericho has brown fur, tan skin, and brown eyes. His attire consists of a suave custom-made black suit, with his suit jacket unbuttoned to reveal a white buttoned undershirt, black pants, black shoes, and a black bow tie. He additionally keeps a silver wristwatch on his right wrist. In Battles 2, his appearance changes as he levels up:

• At level 3, he gains a white earpiece.
• At level 6, his suit jacket is changed into a black vest, his undershirt's sleeves are rolled up, and he gains a second pistol.
• At level 7, both pistols gain silencers.
• At level 12, both pistols gain laser sight attachments and his earpiece is changed to have an antennae and microphone attached.
• At level 16, he gains a pair of sunglasses with gold frames, a gold wristwatch and his bow tie becomes undone.
• At level 20, his sunglasses are replaced with night vision goggles and his pistols are given bigger (and repositioned) magazines.

Personality and traits

Jericho is a skilled covert ops agent who tends to embody a few spy movie archetypes, including a self-expressed "license to pop", a slight but noticeable tendency to utter one-liners and, as shown in his Blended, Not Split Victory Animation, a predilection toward banana juice in a martini glass (indeed, he has been stated to watch Goldenbloon, starring Pierce Popsnan). He speaks with a British English accent.

• Jericho has approximately thousands of hours of training.
• Jericho and Benjamin are great friends, always grabbing lunch together back when they worked in the same office.
• Jericho might have some remaining connections to the Monkey Intelligence Bureau, and absolutely still knows some deep secrets of theirs.
• Before joining the COBRAs, Jericho was working towards a university degree, logging the last flight hours needed to pilot any given aircraft, and "working just a bit more on those abs".
• Jericho has been secretly learning every instrument needed to play the Goldenbloon theme.
• Jericho has yet to adopt a pet, despite Obyn Greenfoot's insistence on adopting a wolf spirit.

• Highwayman Jericho's flintlock pistols never need to reload due to being custom repeater flintlocks by his local Engineers' guild. Magic might have been involved.
• Highwayman Jericho has been claimed to have worked with certain Desperados in disguise.
• Star Captain Jericho also stores snacks in his ship alongside Bloons.
• Star Captain Jericho can perform the Vulcan salute, apparently being a requirement of attaining the Star Captain title.

Real-world references

• Jericho references many popular movies, especially in the spy or science fiction genres:
  • His outfit, "I have a license to pop" voice line, and his Blended, Not Split and Jericho, Agent Jericho hero rewards are references to James Bond.
  • His Sonic Scrambler hero reward is likely a reference to either Men in Black or Doctor Who.
  • His Highwayman Jericho skin may be a reference to Zorro of the Zorro franchise or Dread Pirate Roberts from The Princess Bride.
