Forum:Coverage of certain self-imposed challenges
| This is an ongoing discussion about changing something about Blooncyclopedia. It must reach a consensus before being implemented. Deadline: Friday, 16 January 2026 at 23:59 UTC |
There's been a lot of interest in the discord server for creating pages for self-imposed challenges, like 2TC, 2MPC, and NAPS/NAPSFRILLS. The issue with this is that there are dozens and dozens of these in existence, most of which are really niche, and you could theoretically come up with an infinite number of self-imposed challenges, so which ones are worth covering and which ones aren't? My idea is to only cover self-imposed challenges that have been officially acknowledged in some way, for now. These are:
- 2 Towers CHIMPS (referenced by 2TC)
- 2 Megapops CHIMPS (referenced by 2 MegaPops)
- NAPS/NAPSFRILLS (referenced by Nah, I'd Win and the Ninja Kiwi Blog)
In the future, if there's still interest in covering other self-imposed challenges (such as speedruns), we can set up a separate proposal or a forum discussion to determine which ones are notable and which ones aren't, ideally by coming up with some guidelines to define notability based on factors like popularity and activity.

- For the record, I think the page for NAPS/NAPSFRILLS should be called "NAPS", and "NAPSFRILLS" should be a redirect, since NAPS is the original challenge and NAPSFRILLS is a variant of it. Polavux (talk) 15:30, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- NAPSFRILLS is the 4th most common failed search in Special:SearchDigest so there is clearly a lot of demand for such a page to exist Overclockbtd (talk) 17:15, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- Vouching for this based on the information that has already been supplied. Humansongs (talk) 18:08, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ok, this sounds good Lilysse (talk) 18:33, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, I would go for Ninja Kiwi officially referenced challenges, and, if there's an active community for it, speedruns. Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 23:03, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- I don't see why not, just don't forget to put on a potential policy page that we don't do the tracking and link to the appropriate community websites/public discord servers if any, etc. Also I heavily doubt people will try to write articles about obscure stuff, it's obscure and not popular for a reason Drgoku282 (talk) 23:09, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

To play devil's advocate NK has somewhat formally acknowledged NAPSFRILLS via [[Nah, I'd Win]]. Lilysse (talk) 16:09, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- Granted, the achievement conditions have nothing to do with either NAPS or NAPSFRILLS. I'd agree on NAPS as a title as of now Lilysse (talk) 16:14, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
