The DSi version of Bloons TD 4 is a port of the mobile version of Bloons TD 4 for the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL. Through backwards compatibility, it can also be played on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. It was released digitally as a DSiWare title for the Nintendo DSi Shop and Nintendo eShop in North America in 2012 and in Europe in 2013. The game can no longer be bought or downloaded, as the Nintendo DSi Shop was discontinued on 31 March 2017[1] and the Nintendo eShop was discontinued on 28 March 2023.[2]
This game is based on version 1.0 of the Android port and has the first 19 maps it released with (using the same path lengths). It is missing all of the content added to the mobile version post-release, such as the Bee Keeper. It also has the following differences:
Natural Ceramic Bloons move extremely quickly, which appears to be a bug. Ceramic Bloons that spawn from M.O.A.Bs move at their normal speed.
There are no in-app purchases.

Despite releasing after Digital Goldfish was bought out by Ninja Kiwi and renamed to Ninja Kiwi Europe, the game still uses Digital Goldfish's name, logo, and the copyright text "Developed by Digital Goldfish Ltd under license by Ninja Kiwi". The European release is the last official Bloons game to use Digital Goldfish's branding.
