The Chinese version of Bloons TD 6 (气球塔防6, Pinyin: Qìqiú Tǎ Fáng 6, lit. "Balloons Tower Defense 6") is a localized version of the iOS and Android versions of Bloons TD 6 created for mainland China. It was developed by XD Inc and is distributed on their third-party storefront TapTap, as well as the App Store in China. This version features exclusive cosmetic items. Ninja Kiwi licenses this game and approves new content that XD Inc creates.
Differences from the international version
[edit | edit source]- The app itself is free, but players can only play the first two maps and cannot level up past level 10 without paying to unlock the full version. Players can buy "unlock codes" to share with their friends for activation, which can be done via the Redeem Code section.
- Items in the Shop are cheaper.
- Accolades and Creator Support are unavailable.
- Red Sauda is unavailable.
- Sweepstakes Event is unavailable.
- All Flags except the Village Banana Flag and the exclusive Flags are disabled.
- Exclusive TapTap-wide events, and exclusive profile avatars, banners and Trophy Store items.
Text
[edit | edit source]- Only three languages are supported: Simplified Chinese, English, and Monklish. The English language option is identical to the international version, except for the Chinese characters, which will instead be displayed as tofus in the international version, but much of the Simplified Chinese text has been re-translated.
- Almost all dollar signs ($) in the game's text are removed.
- Additional detailed descriptions are added to tower upgrades with vaguer descriptions in the international version, such as Monkey Ace's Tsar Bomba.
