The Wizard Monkey is a Magic tower in Bloons TD Battles 2. It is unlocked with a one-off purchase of  750.

The Wizard Monkey shoots small magic bolts that can pop frozen Bloons, but cannot pop Purple Bloons or Lead Bloons. Each bolt does 1 damage and has 3 pierce. The Wizard has 40 range and attacks every 1.1 seconds.

It can be upgraded to greatly increase the power of the magic bolt, add a vast array of fire attacks, or use dark magic to reveal Camo Bloons and summon undead Bloons.

Path 1

Guided Magic Cost: $100
	Magic shots seek out the bloons, even behind cover.

Arcane Blast Cost: $250
	Bigger, more powerful magic blasts pop through 2 layers of bloon.

Arcane Mastery Cost: $1,300
	Faster attacks with increased range, damage, and lead popping power.

Arcane Spike Cost: $9,000
	Faster firing magic does huge damage to most Bloon types.

Archmage Cost: $32,000
	A true master of magical wizardry.

Path 2

Fireball Cost: $350
	Every few seconds casts an explosive fireball spell.

Wall of Fire Cost: $1,000
	Creates a super hot wall of fire across the track to roast the bloons as they pass.

Dragon's Breath Cost: $3,000
	Spews endless flames at nearby bloons and enhances Fireball and Wall of Fire.

Summon Phoenix Cost: $4,000
	Summon Phoenix Ability: Powerful phoenix wreaks bloon havoc for 20 seconds.

Wizard Lord Phoenix Cost: $50,000
	Wizard Lord becomes a master of the flame, turning into a super powerful Lava Phoenix for a short time.

Path 3

Intense Magic Cost: $300
	More powerful magic shots move faster and can pop more bloons.

Monkey Sense Cost: $300
	Allows the Wizard to hit Camo bloons.

Shimmer Cost: $1,500
	Gains a dark magic attack that periodically reveals the location of all nearby Camo Bloons permanently.

Necromancer Cost: $2,800
	Reanimate recently popped enemies as servants to destroy the bloons.

Prince of Darkness Cost: $28,000
	Reanimates more powerful Bloon servants to obliterate the enemy, plus enhances the undead Bloons of all other Necromancers.

The Wizard Monkey is often considered a "noob trap" tower due to its common association with newer players that cannot defend rushes well. However, when used properly and mitigating its weakness to Purple Bloons, it becomes a strong early and midgame tower.

Wall of Fire or Arcane Mastery can provide a solid early game start, with which upgrade to use depending on map intersections where Wall of Fire will thrive on. Shimmer provides a reliable decamo option to towers that lack it, and Necromancer is a great support to a defense.

A major weakness is its lack of Purple Bloon popping power, but it can also struggle to tight rushes if not properly prepared. Ezili is often the best hero for the Wizard as it provides a nice pierce bonus as well as Heartstopper turning off Purple Bloon immunities.
