Sniper Monkeys are monkeys who use sniper rifles and a noted proficiency in aiming to pop Bloons. They were introduced in Bloons TD 5 and have appeared in almost every Bloons TD game and spinoff since.
Gameplay
[edit | edit source]The Sniper Monkey is a tower that fires slowly but never misses a shot and can fire across the entire map. In games that include line of sight, the Sniper Monkey cannot see through obstacles that block its vision.
In Bloons TD 5, its two upgrade paths focus on increased damage and attack speed. Its top path increases its damage towards individual regular and MOAB-Class Bloons, and its bottom path focuses on increasing its attack speed and allows it to generate cash. Its Specialty Building in BTD5 is the Rifle Range, while its main buildings in Bloons Monkey City are the Sniper's Recluse and the Gun Training Hall.
In Bloons TD 6 and Battles 2, the Sniper Monkey is a Military-class tower. Its BTD5 paths have remained largely the same, though the cash generation of its bottom path has been moved to its middle path. Starting from these games, the Sniper Monkey has upgrades that allow it to affect multiple Bloons at a time.
The Sniper Monkey appears as a Rare ally in Bloons Adventure Time TD, functioning similarly to its previous iterations and being able to be equipped by all monkey characters. The tower is also represented through the Sniper Beret trinket and Sniper Rifle weapon.

The Sniper Monkey is a Monkey unlocked at level 14. It fires a single bouncing bullet at Bloons below. Its Mega Monkey variant, Mega Sniper Monkey, has its bullet spawn swarms of more bullets on impact with Bloons.
"Sniper" is a Monkey type shared by seven Military-class cards, including the basic Sniper Monkey. All are damage dealers, and most deal high damage to single targets, though most have some supportive function.
Sniper Monkey deals high damage and has no additional effect.
Cash Drop Sniper generates Gold each time it reloads its ammo.
Leeching Shot Sniper generates Bloontonium each time it attacks.
Elite Defender is a Defender.
Night Vision Sniper can detect Camo Bloons.
Crippling Sniper deals the most damage and increases the delay of Large Bloons it attacks.
Bouncing Bullet deals additional damage to three random Bloons on the opponent's side each time it attacks.
General information
[edit | edit source]Appearance
[edit | edit source]The base Sniper Monkey is depicted as a monkey with brown fur, tan skin and brown eyes wearing a green beret with a camo pattern adorned with a large yellow circular emblem. Its rifle is consistently depicted as completely grey, equipped with a scope sporting a lime green lens.
In Bloons Card Storm, it wears a green vest, has green eyes, and has its gun changed. The scope lens is red, the gun is visually bulkier, the handle and back of the gun is colored green, and the middle of the gun has holes in it. Its yellow emblem is more detailed, depicting a bunch of bananas.
Other Snipers also received redesigns in Bloons Card Storm. Supply Drop (Known as Cash Drop Sniper in BCS), has a redesign. Supply Drop Sniper’s vest and pants are no longer camo, and its vest now has extra pockets. Its boots are changed to be more detailed. The gun has been changed to have black highlights at the tip, base, and middle of the gun, and its barrel is longer. The telephone’s color is now grey instead of black.
