Version 4.5 is the first major update to Bloons TD Battles 2 and Bloons TD Battles 2+ of 2025. It introduced the community-created map Neo Highway. It had 2 OTA updates which fixed bugs and set up new Store bundles.

Changes

[edit | edit source]
We are increasing the cost of the Triple Darts upgrade and moving some of the top path’s cost into the lower upgrades to make dart monkey hoards more expensive.
— Update notes
Tiers Changes
2-X-X Razor Sharp Shots
  • Nerf Upgrade cost increased ― $150 → $250
4-X-X Juggernaut
  • Buff Upgrade cost reduced ― $1,800 → $1,700
X-3-X Triple Shot
  • Nerf Upgrade cost increased ― $300 → $400
We are slightly nerfing the Bloon Solver’s attack speed to reduce the number of times it’s able to reapply its glue after Scientist Gwen has burned it off.
— Update notes
Tiers Changes
5-X-X The Bloon Solver
  • Nerf Attack cooldown increased ― 0.25s → 0.4s
Tiers Changes
3-X-X Submerge and Support
  • "Fixed 3xx Monkey Sub sleeping on the job (visual issue only)."
  • "Fixed 3xx Monkey Sub not visually submerging when the upgrade is first bought. "
Tiers Changes
All tiers
  • "Fixed Buccaneer not firing both cannons when placed too close to land. "
Tiers Changes
3-X-X Druid of the Storm
  • "Fixed 3xx Druid animating incorrectly when firing lightning. "
The Monkey Bank benefited a little too much from the introduction of Quality Soil. These changes are intended to keep the strength of the Monkey Bank when combined with the top path while nerfing the bottom crosspath.
— Update notes
Tiers Changes
0-3-X Monkey Bank and further upgrades
  • Nerf End of round income reduced ― $550 → $450
1-3-0 Monkey Bank + Increased Production
1-4-0 IMF loan + Increased Production
1-5-0 Monkey-Nomics + Increased Production
  • Buff End of round income increased ― $450 → $500
2-3-0 Monkey Bank + Greater Production
2-4-0 IMF loan + Greater Production
2-5-0 Monkey-Nomics + Greater Production
  • Buff End of round income increased ― $500 → $550
X-5-X Monkey-Nomics
  • Nerf Ability: initial cooldown increased ― 25s → 30s
By increasing the damage and reducing the attack rate of Scientist Gwedolin’s cocktail, we can reduce the amount of damage it does when combined with Glue Gunner without nerfing the attack as a whole. [sic]
— Update notes
Levels Changes
3+
  • Nerf Chemical Cocktail: damage tick rate reduced ― 0.24s → 0.36s
3–13
  • Buff Chemical Cocktail: damage per tick increased ― 2 → 3
14+
  • Buff Chemical Cocktail: damage per tick increased ― 5 → 6
  • "Fixed Obyn’s wolf animating incorrectly in the Druid’s Best Friend animation. "
Poor Benjamin has had some of his uniqueness stolen by Bonnie and Beetienne in recent updates leaving him without a solid niche. To help find him a new one, we are strengthening his synergy with Banana Farms and replacing his life gain upgrade with a brand new effect: Boost Hack.
— Update notes
Levels Changes
All
  • Buff Benjamin is now buffed by Banana Central
3+
  • Buff Biohack: affects 2 more towers at all levels
  • Buff Biohack: affected towers deal +1 damage at all levels
5+
  • Buff Bank Hack: now applies to Marketplaces
6+
  • Neutral Cyber Security replaced with Boost Hack
14+
  • Neutral Effect changed to Boost Hack granting one additional use of each boost
DJ Ben has been given even more changes to distinguish him from the other heroes, including Ben. Every DJ needs a crowd so DJ Ben’s income is now based on the number of monkeys you can fit into his radius. He’s weaker than regular Ben by himself, but stronger if you can max out his crowd. We’ve also swapped his synergy with Farms for a synergy with alternative income monkeys like Sniper, Heli Pilot, and Engineer.
— Update notes
