Camo Blue Bloon is a Basic Bloon card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 6.0. Attacking Monkeys without Detect must target non-Camo Bloons before this Bloon.

The card artwork depicts a Camo Blue Bloon hidden above a stream with a small waterfall with stones, next to a meadow with trees and several bunches of green grass.

This section was last updated for: version 6.2
  • Camo Blues cost the same and have the same health as Green Bloon with 1 extra delay. The benefit is the added Camo property, which allows them to hide in a crowd of other Bloons if the opponent relies too much on Monkeys that do not detect Camo.
  • Camo Blues are the cheapest Camo Bloon in the game, costing 1 fewer Gold than Fortified Regrow Camo Red Bloon. Their very cheap cost makes them good in Aggro decks as a way to put on pressure by using Camo to avoid attacks from a Monkey like Barrel of Monkeys.
  • Camo Blues can work well with cards that buff them, like Strengthenator or Ceramic Glazing Kiln due to the difficulty of being able to hit them making the health buffs more threatening than other Bloons.

Update history

[edit | edit source]
  • Buff Gold cost decreased ― 3 → 2
  • Nerf Bloontonium gain decreased ― 3 → 2
  • Nerf Health decreased ― 110 → 90
“
All of the Blues got buffed by +10 because every single Blue was pretty weak. They were just slow and you actually had to pay money for them, which made them a lot worse than Red in practically every situation, so all of them got +10 health to make them a little bit more viable. Specifically for Camo Blue, it's a pretty big deal. Camo Blue at 100 makes it a lot stronger, and it makes it stronger than something like a Green, so you have more of a potential reward if it hits.

  • Buff Health increased ― 90 → 100

Development

[edit | edit source]

This card originally had 90 health, but it was increased to 110 before the update released.[1] The original health amount was displayed in the update video.[2]

Playtesters for Version 6.2 noted that the Camo Green Bloon was more worth it than Camo Blue Bloon for 1 extra Gold, which has lead to the rework of Camo Blue to cost 2 Gold but have their health reduced from 110 to 90. It was initially proposed to have its Health increased from 110 to 130.[3] However, at the time, Ninja Kiwi didn't want Camo Blues to have equal or more health than Camo Greens. Instead, there was a compromise by the playtesters to rework Camo Blue into a cheaper Bloon, allowing it to still rival Camo Green Bloon with Ninja Kiwi's design principles in mind.[3]

Version 6.4 buffed the Blue Bloon and all of the Blues. Camo Blue was buffed in health to improve its reward compared to the same-costing Green Bloon.[4]
