Increased Accuracy is the Mortar Tower's path 1 tier 1 upgrade in Bloons TD 5. It reduces the spread of its shells from 60 units to 30 units, effectively doubling its accuracy. In the Flash version and BTD5 Deluxe, it reduces spread to 20 units, effectively tripling its accuracy.

Strategy
Increased Accuracy improves the accuracy enough that targeting directly into an intersection is no longer required to have the most effective hits, and instead the mortar should be targeted into a bend to maximize the blast radius. Its cheap price proves desireable in the event that a bend is more impactful on a certain map, but not required on maps with an already good intersection for a base mortar to hit.
