Infernal is an Expert map in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 15.0. It takes place on cliffs and floating rocks suspended above a volcanic pit.
Layout
Infernal has two lanes that alternate in where Bloons spawn. Odd rounds spawn on the top, while even rounds spawn on the bottom. Both lanes are longer than any lane in any other Expert map, with the exception of Workshop's Bloons only lane with both Track Extension and Reverse Motor active. There are few spaces to put towers, and Banana Farms can only be placed on the left and right islands. There are also two islands for water towers.
Strategy
Infernal, despite having little space to place towers, is generally regarded as the easiest Expert map, especially on CHIMPS. It is the longest Expert Map (assuming Reverse Motor and Track Extension on Workshop are not used simultaneously), and Bloons only come from one entrance each round, allowing many towers to function well on this map.
Recommended towers and upgrades
| Name | Portrait | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Perma-Brewed Sniper Monkey army | The long length of this map means that just a 0-5-2 Elite Sniper and a 0-2-5 Elite Defender with a Jungle Drums and Stronger Stimulant on the right island can save up extremely easily to Perma-Brew. Once Perma-Brew is obtained, spam 0-2-4 Snipers on the right island and 0-3-2 Snipers on the left, and use Support Chinook to move Perma-Brew around if needed. This setup coasts through the late-game with ease. All heroes can work, but Geraldo and Corvus are especially strong since they make the saveup even easier and both assist greatly in late game with their inventories. | |
| Comanche Commander | The single-lane alternating round format of Infernal greatly helps Comanche Commander, along with Heli Pilots in general. Comanche is good at support with its shoving capabilities and also does solid damage when paired with debuffs such as Glue Storm that also solves its lack of DDT-popping power. Geraldo is recommended, as Sharpening Stone alleviates Comanche's pierce capping, Pet Rabbit does solid damage mid-game and late-game, Gerry's Fire assists in the save-up towards Comanche, Rejuv Potion allows for easy Round 100 victories and resets Glue Storm's cooldown, Camo Potion improves Comanche's power against DDTs, and Genies do great amounts of damage. | |
| Apache Prime | Apache Prime thrives on Infernal, due to its global range, and sue to only one track being active at a time. One the side islands you can neatly fit a Heli Pilot, a Village, and an Alchemist. The easiest way to do this is by first placing the Village on the top of the island, the placing the Heli Pilot as far up as possible, which should leave just enough space for an Alchemist Below it. The hero of choice doesn't matter as much as other strategies, though Quincy is a popular choice since you can start with him on round 6, and his Storm of Arrows ability can defeat large bloon rushes in the midgame, that the Apache Dartship might struggle to. In the lategame Apache prime can solo most rounds with ease. Even with an MIB, Apache Prime struggles against DDT's, so it is recommended to get a tower that can deal well with DDTs, such as Icicle Impale or Prince of Darkness. |
