Bloons TD 6 for home consoles (also called Bloons TD 6 Console to distinguish it from other versions[1]) is a port of the PC version of Bloons TD 6. It first released on Xbox One in 2023, then PlayStation 4 in 2024, and on Nintendo Switch in 2026. Through backwards compatibility, the Xbox One version is also playable on Xbox Series X and Series S, the PS4 version is playable on PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch version is playable on Nintendo Switch 2. This version features local Co-op and changes to the interface and controls to make the game playable on a gamepad.
The Xbox One and PS4 releases are based on version 32.0, but the PS4 version has some additional maps and cosmetic items backported from later updates. The Nintendo Switch release is based on version 53.2 and has access to almost all features of the equivalent PC/Mobile version of the game, including paid content such as Legends and the collaboration skins from the Masters of the Universe crossover, available at the Shop.
Differences from the main version

|
The Xbox and PlayStation versions based on version 32.0 and does not include any of the fixes made in version 32.1, version 32.2, or version 32.3 while Nintendo Switch version is instead based on version 53.2. Compared to the main version, the console releases have the following differences:
- There is no cross-compatibility with other versions of BTD6, including other consoles. Save data, leaderboards, online play, and accounts are all separate.
- This version features local Co-op play, in addition to online Co-op. Local Co-op earns singleplayer medals instead of the Co-op variants. There is a unique user interface where each player can select the Hero they want to use for the game.[2]
- This version uses its own event rotation (Daily Challenges, Boss Events, Races and Odysseys), consisting of reused events from the main branch of BTD6. The Xbox One and PS4 versions share event leaderboards.[3] Nintendo Switch has its own leaderboard.
- All maps are rendered at a 16:9 aspect ratio and have tweaks to fill in the extra space (usually increasing the amount of placeable area and increasing the length of paths that enter and/or exit on the left and/or right sides). The play area is 356 units wide instead of 232 units.
- Per the previous change, the tower selection menu is replaced by an overlay in the right side of the map, which has several panels to select towers, abilities, powers, Insta Monkeys, emotes, Geraldo's Shop, Corvus' spells, and Co-op options. Players cannot select any tower or map feature located under the panel unless it is hidden (toggled by pressing the right stick by default).
- Teams, Contested Territory, Boss Rush and Map Editor are inaccessible.
- Challenge Editor is restricted to creations made in the console version, Xbox and PlayStation share the same content, while Nintendo Switch has its own listing. Due Map Editor not being available, the players can only access custom Challenges and Odysseys.
Controls
All console versions share the same overall control mechanics which include:
- Outside of a game, or in the pause menu, the game does not show a cursor and the game will instead highlight an item in the menu. Player can use the confirm button to select the current item or press the cancel selection button to return to the previous menu. Certain items may be tied to a specific button for quick access.
- During a game, the player's free cursor (left stick by default) can move to anywhere on the map. The movement of the free cursor is tied to the game's frame rate, meaning it will lag if the game itself is lagging.[2]
- Selecting a tower makes the free cursor disappear and the game displays a ring of options around it instead of opening a side panel. To purchase an upgrade, the player has to point at the upgrade (by default with the left stick, left chooses path 1, up for path 2, right for path 3 and down for other options) and press the confirm button. To return to the free cursor, the player needs to press cancel selection.
Xbox and PlayStation
- The player can use the scroll cursor (right stick by default) to navigate the side panel without moving the free cursor.
- There are ten hotkeys for ability buttons. The first two are mapped to two of the face buttons, while the remaining 8 are mapped to a combination of one of the triggers and one of the face buttons. The player cannot activate them with the free cursor.

The differences between this version an the other consoles are the following:
- Single Joy-Con, touchscreen and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls are not supported.
- The scroll control in the right stick is not available, players need to move the cursor to select items on the right panel.
- Hero abilities always use the first three ability hotkeys. For the other seven, new abilities move the already existing ones down in the hotkey list until it is filled. Afterwards, new abilities are added at the end of the list.
- Activated abilities now appear in their own panel in the overlay instead of being at the bottom of the screen.

Differences between the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions
- The PlayStation 4 version has some additional content from later updates of other versions, despite being based on version 32.0. This update was supposed to release for the Xbox One version as well,[1] but it never came out.
- The Challenge Browser in the PS4 version can play challenges made on either console, but the Xbox One version cannot play challenges made on the PS4 version.[3]
- Tower and upgrade descriptions in the Xbox One version are taken from version 44.0, even though the game uses version 32.0's balancing. As such, some descriptions in this version are anachronistic; for example, Monkey Sense's description mentions that it increases range, even though it did not have that effect until version 35.0. The PS4 version uses the descriptions from 32.0.[3]
- On the PS4 version, the free cursor is also controllable with the touchpad on DualShock controllers.[3] There is also a new slider in the options menu to adjust the movement speed of the free cursor when controlling it with a stick.
